When the sun goes down tonight, step outside and look south. The crescent Moon is near Jupiter and Saturn. Jean-Baptiste Feldman sends this picture from Ladoix-Serrigny, France:

Yep, I saw it last night. Pretty spectacular, crescent moon, Jupiter and Saturn and then look just a little to the East and you can see Mars, very bright and very red.
I don't know if something has changed, but I feel like for the last year or two I've been able to pick out Mars at any time. Very bright, and very red. I don't ever remember that being the case before.

Same here. We landed at DIA just after dark and the view as we were driving west was awesome.
