My wife knows that I would like to have a camera drone and I wanted to ask the experts on here for recommendations. I would like to stay under $150 for something durable and easy to fly.
Thanks for your time.
Merry Christmas!

I've got this one on my chrismas list.... Found some good non-amazon reviews, it was $20 off last week, so $129, now price is 149. For money, looks like it'll be fun.

The holy Stones have been popular but I have no stick time on them. Try finding a little indoor flyer to start off with, full FPV combos on amazon are within your price range and will give you some stick time till you can get into something full sized.

For a camera drone, in that price range, I would suggest this one: https://www.amazon.com/Potensic-Camera-Altitude-Batteries-Carrying/dp/B07PPTDGTP/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?dchild=1&keywords=The+Best+Drones+with+Camera&qid=1606702671&sr=8-1-spons&psc=1&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUEyWDE2RVg5QkE5RE0wJ mVuY3J5cHRlZElkPUEwNzQ2NjEzMkJZT1dLUk9RVDEzMyZlbmN yeXB0ZWRBZElkPUEwMjk4NTI0MTZENkNDS0s2NFNEVyZ3aWRnZ XROYW1lPXNwX2F0ZiZhY3Rpb249Y2xpY2tSZWRpcmVjdCZkb05 vdExvZ0NsaWNrPXRydWU=
That being said, I wouldn't expect great things out of a camera drone for that kind of money. One of my co-workers has one of the Parrot drones, and it isn't bad, but lacks almost all of the automated flying features that the DJI's have at this point. I think the Parrot Bebop 2 is generally $250 or so, and would be more reliable/better than the $150 china stuff.
As with most things, you do get what you pay for, but if you just want to start playing with one, I understand going cheap to start.
The hard part of running some 'cheap'er drones is performance for cost.
For FPV you can find something in the cheaper range at https://graysonhobby.com/ and yea, not cheap but not that expensive for the small drones if you have radio + goggles.
To pick up some basic training - maybe look at https://www.youtube.com/joshuabardwell
And his recommend list for FPV at https://www.fpvknowitall.com/
I have some fun with holy Stones - but they will have on board recording for the price point - no FPV (first Person View). Some of the hardware last a day, some last a year.
For real cheap hardware I have had some luck with the drones at Monoprice.com
Consider this hardware pure disposable....The under 50 dollar drones worked fine for what they are.
