Got a text and pic from my daughter.

"Hey dad, my friend got this old revolver from her dad, what can you tell me about it?"(I assume from his estate otherwise he should know something about it)

She stated no markings they could find.

Will probably be couple weeks before I can see/inspect it in person.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20201213/ec03f99428b136c9a584d2dc84290a97.jpg

That looks older than most of the members here.

I don't have a clue what it is but I'm curious to find out.

Before the facts emerge, I am going to guess it's French.

Can't be, no dirt on it. :)

It's a RG in 22 lr, that was left in a foam pistol case ? ;)

Try and find some proof marks to help narrow down the search. I say Belgian

Has a very 19th century look to it.

Good bet on being Belgian and chambered for something like 11mm French or other low power Euro BP round. Can't tell if CF or RF, but definitely not pin-fire. 99% probability of having value only as wallhanger or curiousa.

Possibly a 1874 Belgian turbo-Encabulator with the requisite patina.

Quick search shows a number of Lefaucheux revolvers that have the same grip shape and the same diamond inlay in the grip but can’t find any that match the complete revolver.
