Mtn. man I'm willing to bet that if you Google search your problem with your type of printer you can find the answer on a tech specific forum. Give it a shot. Also, if you go to sites like www.noobie.com (org, net? don't remember) they will literally hold your hand and walk you through computer problems. I've used them before when my lady's computer locked up with viruses.

probably an HP printer... good hardware, sucky drivers and software that go with them.

I think that gnihcraes is in the right area as to your problem there Mtn Man. I've got a little experience with this. BACKGROUND: I installed 4 network printers @ work last week and have installed multiple network (wired and wireless) at home.

Without actually seeing this in person, my guess is that you need to load the drivers for that specific device onto each machine you are trying to print/fax from. While I can't speak intelligently about Windows 7, XP & Vista have a multitide of drivers pre-installed, but they can't cover everything. The printer or fax (guessing you are using an "all-in-one device") should have come with a driver disk that may or may not be current enough to solve your problem. Google search for "drivers" for your device (by SPECIFIC model #). It best if you can get the most current drivers straight from the device manufacturer versus a third-party provider as there is less chance for getting a virus.

then again, you could have tried all of this already and I could just be full of s#!t.

Good luck.
