My 6 year old kid asked if he could go out and jump on
his trampoline this afternoon. Short time later
I hear someone screaming out in typical tweaker gibberish. Jump up and look out the open window to see a guy 20 feet up a fucking tree next to my kids trampoline.
Ran out the door like greased lightning and snatched the kid up and ran into the house. Wife is on the phone calling the cops. I got a good 5 minutes of footage of him fighting the arms and netting intended to keep the kids inside before the cops got here.

Ok left the part out where the limb snapped and he fell into the trampoline.
Cops say he admitted to being on LSD

I don't know enough about LSD to know if that is a likely story from him. Either way, glad your kid/s? are okay.

Will say police were very professional. They are pros here in Golden. Maybe a little slow getting here but no telling where they had to come from.
As off balance as he is on the trampoline he climbed the tree like a squirrel. No footage of the tree climb or fall. That's the time I was grabbing my son.
Did tweeker go to jail or got a ticket?

I'm sorry this happened to you, your kid and your trampoline. It's easy to find humor in all this, till you think about how your kid is going to be affected by this experience of having an unpredictable stranger hiding in the trees above what was once a carefree place.

Kid is on porch nut job is in the yard. I yell at the kid to go back in the house! Nut job is standing there with false
teeth in his hand. Guess he lost them yesterday. Told guy to get the fuck out of here unless he wanted to bleed out on my lawn. Wife called cops but I don't think they are even responding at this point. Wife pressed charges and filed a restraining order yesterday. Really don't know why it's a no show.
Ahhh fuck what to do. I need to get to work but also don't want to leave wife and kids home.
I had my hand on a proper gun this time but didnt draw even due to distance.
Wife wants to carry today. She might not be as reserved I'm afraid.
I fucking hate tweakers.
I have no idea how I havent had shit stolen.

Pretty clear cut that the guy presents a credible threat. Nobody I know likes the idea of needlessly inflicting pain, but there might be a certain satisfaction in sending this dipshit to the hospital for a while...

Bloody hell. You have my sympathies. If you have to go to work, I would be back on the phone with GPD and ask to speak to a supervisor to "discuss" the issue.
I hate worthless druggies. Pure human garbage that I wish could just dispose of instead of trying to recycle.

In Colorado? You can't take people to jail, that's mean.
Not sure how Jeffco is right now though. Other counties are not taking a lot of stuff like this, which makes it difficult to solve the problem.

I wouldn't expect much from the cops unless you do something, then they'll be on you like white on rice. Gotta protect the precious drug addicted trash, the only rehab that'll fix this asshole is an OD.

What a lousy thing to go through. I can't believe the PD wont step in and do anything.
I guess we need to start thinking like Liberals and report him for not wearing a mask and failure to maintain social distancing (maybe drop a MAGA hat on him), that will get the gears in motion!
On a serious note, best to you and the family. No one needs any extra stress now days, and this is has to be like Twilight Zone stress.

There should be a local detox center the PD could take him to, if he is on LSD. They would keep him until it is out of his system. It might keep him from coming back if he knows he has to detox every time he comes to your property.

On a similar note, a gentleman walking his massive St. Bernard (I?m guessing his yard is safe) approached me last night in my front yard to warn us of a bum roaming the neighborhood frequently, he seems to think there may be a homeless camp nearby in the desert. Said gentleman was OC?ing a Canik with an optic, as I was OC?ing my 43x, I?m certain the vagrant won?t receive a warm welcome around here if he starts causing trouble.
