Hi all just have not been around for several years had a great time on this site and all the club shoots. I got to thinking about this site and how many of us mods back in the day are gone now. Glad to see many are still active and still involved in this site. I moved to Montana bought a place out in the country built my own shooting ranges in my back yard. I miss the days of the club shoots but CO got over run and I personally could not take it anymore and had to leave. I heard Roger sold the site and 7idl, marlin are all gone like me its part of life I guess we all change directions at some point. Maybe I should hang out more often good to see many members and mods from back in the day still active. If any of you ever come up to Montana your are welcome to blast away at my house, I love the fact I no longer have to go to a public range and deal with the inevitable idiots you always run into at a public range. I will try to be more active as things are finally sowing down for me and im not so busy.

Just wanted to say hi to everyone.

Hey Tim! Thanks for at least stopping by and I hope it’s really “welcome back” going forward!

Is your house bullet proof or something? I would never make that offer.

Nope its not but my property is hence shooting ranges backstops and very safe. My neighbors use my shooting ranges its all good and again very safe no chances of my house getting hit.

I think HBar is giving you grief for the way you said it “blast away at my house”, implying it’s the target ;)

Good to hear you're doing well Tim !!
Some of us 'old timers' are still here, I just don't post much [Beer]
Great memories for sure of the club shoots we had back in the day.

hell yes we did you still have the mac and the mac jack LMAO that was stupid 1800 rnds per minute but fun to shoot. I still have my m16 never shoot the damn thing its my safe queen. good times for sure and the suppressor shoot was a good time also. Or the time in st vrains canyon somebody called the boulder county sheriff on us because of my m16 and doug (Marlin) matt (theoneandonlyKC) a state trooper was there shooting with us and it was comical. needless to say we had many good times.

Good to see you again. I'm not sure what happened to 7idl, he disappeared. I can't remember if he ever logged back in at this point but we'll have to check. Marlin isn't completely gone btw, he's like a ghost of Halloween and Christmas that stops by a couple times a year. Even Roger has logged in a couple times over the last few years to say hi. I think he just gave up on the "task" but the site is still largely the same people AFAIK with turnover up and down as people got busy in life.

Yep, still have it but have tamed it down to a manageable 650 - 700 rpm with a Lage upper and some different bolt weights.
Don't shoot it much as ammo is $$$ as I'm prepping for a move out of state.

I guess I still exist, harassing the wildlife mostly, but long ago J took over all server admin and hosting. Thomas is your huckleberry for everything else. Ones like splief also got busy, but I expect they'll turn up again eventually.

The only one that will never find their way back is Karl [Beer]

Lots of changes but its all good and yeah its a sad deal with Karl I had a lot of good times shooting with him dont understand or will I ever what made him do what he did. Hell I have been down and out many times in my life but I just pick my self up and keep on going.

I have kinda become a pussy with wildlife nothing like sitting and watching tv and a deer is looking at me through the window I love my critters at my house. I still hunt my ass off but I leave them alone at the house plus im a hunter and its not very sporting to shoot a critter at my house. I will hike my ass off and go find one to shoot that i earned. I do have over 1000 acres butted up to my place that I hunt so I guess in some ways I kinda hunt close to the house.[AR15]

TIM! Welcome back brother.

I never had a chance to meet you as I think you quit coming regularly around the time I joined (Unless you were part of the group that helped Kyle move out of Stetson Hills many years ago; I was there).

Oh, no, no no!

Roger stepped away from the site and gave it to Marlin about a year after I joined (I joined in March 2008).

Marlin was about the only original mod that was still regularly active on the site so a few of the regulars were made mods (WillysWagon was /isstill here but work kept him from participating very often. Of course, Foxtrot is still here too.). I kept bothering Marlin about things I saw needing tending to the point where he made me a mod. Eventually Marlin promoted both Hoser and I to Admin status since we were doing a lot of the stuff needing those permissions.

Eventually, Marlin just disappeared without warning. Like Roger, he still pops in every so often. A few more folks got brought onto the staff (some have left, some have stayed). We built a really amazing team of folks on the staff and we've been trying to stick to the original idea of the site and make Roger proud. Since joining I realized that this is more than simply of forum of "gun guys" but a truly community of individuals who share little more in common than an appreciation for firearms. It's that community, or large extended family, that many of us saw as the strength of this site above anything else. We certainly don't want to lose that.

We've had many offers from folks to buy the site or requests from non-members to advertise, but we know it wouldn't be the same if we accepted those offers. Plus, anyone wanting to buy the site would either charge for membership or pack the site full of ads taking away enjoyment of being here. That just won't do at all.

By now you've had a chance to look the site over pretty well. Since you were last active we've added some things, had to add more danged rules to stave off chaos and keep the peace (we've REALLY tried to keep the rules to a minimum), added a LOT of new members, and (sadly) seen many members that I miss disappear. So, what do you think of the place?

Welcome back! The first CO-AR15 shoot I went to, at the now closed Hwy 7 and 72 location, you let me put a couple of mags through your M16, it was a blast. [AR15][AR15][AR15][AR15]

Welcome back Hunter. Not a whole lot has changed since you left. Still the same shenanigans going on from time to time. Mods still do a great job and policing things up. If I'm ever headed to Montana, I'll let ya know!

Thanks to everyone for the welcome backs I remember many of you I will be around and if any of you come up to Montana the land of the free we can hook up. I hate even going back to Denver even though all my family and friends live there. I avoid it at all costs, every time I have went back its like how in the hell did I ever live here and live like this. I love Montana![AR15]

Good to see you're still alive and kickin', Tim! I can still remember you letting me dump one of my 30 rounders through your rifle at a South shoot. Not sure I got anywhere close to where I was aiming but it sure put a smile on my face. [Coffee]

I'm betting it's a bit chilly up there over the past week or so. I have a co-worker that works remotely from Great Falls, MT that has been 'enjoying' the weather.

Loved our drives through MT driving up from CO to visit my folks in WA, but now we live up in WA as well. I really love the ID panhandle and western MT. Beautiful country.

Again, it's good to hear from you!
