Just announced. He was a pioneer. I wasn't a big fan but he changed talk radio.

I remember the Flush Rush bumper stickers in the 80's.

A sad day, indeed. Wonder what will happen on his time slot?

So the s--t show of 2020 is just getting worse in 2021. He knew he was on borrowed time after his diagnosis got worse. I wasn't a "fan" per se but he did a great job trying to keep non-Socialists on point and setting the record straight after the propaganda machine pushed out their bovine fecal matter. The number of people that buy into the agit-prop masquerading as news these days is just increasing. :(

End of an era ... kinda wish he'd have died a year ago so he didn't have to witness the shit-show of the election.

I remember when he first came on in Sacramento in the late 80's, listening to him in the car with my Dad back in Jr High.

Godspeed Rush! Thanks for the years of common sense entertainment. You will be missed!

Saw him here in FoCo for the “Dan’s Bake Sale” in 1993. Some guy named Dan couldn't pay for the Limbaugh Letter so he held a bake sale to raise $24 for the subscription. Huge event in downtown FoCo. I25 was packed. 30k+ people showed up from all over the US. Limbaugh flew in and gave a fine speech. Great time. It was like a festival. Bit of rain, then sun comes out and Rush took the stage. I had a perfect view from the top of the parking garage- no one else around but a few friends. This was when FoCo was a sweet town, before it became another Boulder. Today? No way the event could happen. Local Libtards would ban it or riot and cry about it on CNN.

What an icon, RIP and Godspeed El Rushbo.

Side but related note, stay off of social media today. People reveling in his death is among the more disgusting things I've seen.

I listened to the beginning of a liberal's show on XM. While cancer is horrible and he wouldn't wish it on anyone, Limbaugh was a racist, homophobe and bigot.

It shows how skewed people are when they let politics become religion and it overrides decency.

When Pelosi croaks, I won't be sad but I certainly won't say she deserves it. I'll recognise her success and contributions to the country, even though I disagree with most of her positions.

Regardless of what one might've thought of him or his politics, he was a pioneer in radio and accomplished things with that platform that none other has.

I listened to his show occasionally, mostly if I happened to be in the car. Not a hard-core fan but I enjoyed him immensely. I saw him as a gifted entertainer more than a guiding light on how or what to think. Didn't always agree with him but almost always enjoyed listening to what he had to say when I did tune in.

Yeah...I'll miss him.

Mega-dittos, Rush.

So what your saying is if I listened to him and my dad listened to him we are what you claim he is?
What stupid comment. Give us examples so I can self diagnose myself.

I believe he was commenting on what the liberal broadcast was saying, but I could be wrong.

+1

I think a big part of what those of us who found him entertaining and why those who despised him did so was he wasn't afraid to point out the ridiculousness and hypocrisy of the left.

I read those books while I was taking economics courses. Made a lot of sent. At least by the professor who taught the classes. I highly recommend them.

Will miss him greatlly, nobody like him, ever. I told my wife about a month ago I didn't think he had much longer. More and more guest hosts and his outlook was not as positive.

He was a gifted speaker; managed more often than not to cut thru the piles of crap to get to the real issues.

When I was on long road trips it was a nice to tune him in. Some of the fake 'ads' that he played on the radio nailed the issue but good.

some loans you wish were not due so fast.

He was a radio Titan. Dems have been trying to do what he did with a leftist bent and never came close to pulling it off.

I got a kick the way he could use his bravado, knowing full well that he wasn?t actually being serious, and liberals would lose their minds.

Most people that hated him or accused him of certain things like being a racist, never listened to him. They grabbed onto what others said about him.

He loved this country and what it was built to stand for. He fully understood and unapologetically supported American exceptionalism.

This will likely be the beginning of the end of the influence of talk radio. I?ll miss hearing his voice and his take on the world. Just another reminder that I?m getting older.

Godspeed, Rush.

As gifted as he was as a speaker, he was even more gifted at analyzing the social and political situations. He could clearly see the machinations and explain them for people who don't follow politics or know how these movements or activists work. I think one of the reasons the Left hated him so much was that he was so good at exposing what they were doing.

I spend a lot of time in the car. I've listened to many, many hours of his groundbreaking show. I remember his show on 9/11, the day in '03 when we went into Iraq... I remember when he admitted on air his prescription drug problem (he really did have half his brain tied behind his back!).

RIP, Maha Rushie.

He is Conservative Talk Show Radio.

He blasted Clinton, He blasted Bush, He blasted Obama, etc.

Most of the folks out there today, are in it for themselves.

Rush Limbaugh was in it for us.

I've tuned into Rush Limbaugh since the first Bill Clinton campaign. He's been an immensely talented political analyst and commentator. He opened the door and set the bar for all the conservative commentators who followed. He exposed the hypocrisy of the RINOS like McCain and Romney. Every day he railed against the deeply corrupt leftist media and other factions that have conspired to burden and weaken our country and dilute the protections of our constitutional foundation.

Over the years I've seen Rush as astute and prescient of current politics. I have agreed with most of his assessments with the exception of his broad painting of all environmentalists as extremists. I accept that he didn't have the background to know the many and widely conflicting interests. I think that failing lost millions of potential followers.

In the end Rush Limbaugh contributed greatly to the understanding of conservative principles.

If Donald Trump hadn't been such a narcissistic nincompoop Rush Limbaugh would have succeeded in getting him re elected. That's how influential Rush was.

Talent on loan from God. Without a doubt. God bless Rush Limbaugh.

Remember first hearing Rush when I was in Chicago for a buddy's wedding back in the early Clinton days. Got hooked immediately. Hadn't been listening much the last couple years, but had started back up again in the last few months. He'll be missed. He WAS talk radio. Will never be another like him.
