new to Fort Carson/Colorado springs

Hi, I'm a longtime arfcommer that just PCS'ed to fort carson.

I'm big into black rifles, offroading, and BBQ'ing. I'm originally from Texas, so my hobbies are pretty much a given.

I have no clue what to do or where to go while I am here, so I would appreciate being steered in the right direction!

As far as where to go (realworld, off the boards), the Colorado Springs area has limited formal shooting areas close at hand, but they do exist.

Lots of great folks here on this site and plenty of us from all around the state, including the Springs area. If you have any questions, comments, or contributions, please chime in. Sometimes the conversations get a little heated due to differences of opinion, but we do really respect everyone here (yeah, even Sturtle) so don't be afraid to say your piece.

You wouldn't even believe the amount of knowledge and the diversity (damn I hate that word) in backgrounds here. If you have any questions, someone here can provide you with an intelligent answer.
