Has anyone renewed lately with the new procedure of Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday only and maximum of 15 people per day? (or heck, maybe that was always the way and I never knew it).
Wondering if there are lines, or the 15 people are jammed up early, or if you can truly walk up and do it without a huge wait.
Permit expires in about 45 days, but don't want to go any earlier than needed.

I did before the plague, it was the T,W,T then, but without the 15 person limit. Go early and be waiting at the door for them to open it, with the weather being fairly cold, most will wait in their cars till the door opens.
Don’t conceal carry even a knife, you will go through a metal detector inside the door, have all your ducks in a row and you will be out in less than 30 minutes.
Do NOT conceal your ducks. They need to be able to see that they are indeed in a row.
Is waterfowl alignment something the Dems added last session?

The Sheriff's Office changed the policy--now 35 appointments per day, but they are handed out at 7am. So, you've got to stand in line at 7 (I was 24th in line this morning and got there at 6:30) to get a slot.
they give you a time and you come back later (unless you're one of the first few in line)

So the sheriff's department has organized a daily super spreader event?
[not that I really think that, but it might be interesting to report it to some local yellow journalism outlet to shame the department into a better system]

I renewed a few weeks ago and it was super painless. I did the entire thing by email. Printed and filled out the renewal application, took it to the bank to be notarized, scanned everything and emailed it in, paid by CC over the phone, and picked new card up. I picked it up in the late afternoon and there was nobody even in the office. (the security guard and the guy behind the window). Entire process took less than 3 days. Not sure about in person procedure, but highly recommend the email option if it is still available.

i didn't see an online renewal option. that would've been handy
From the Sheriff's website: "We will no longer be accepting renewal applications submitted on-line."

I got there at 0545 and I was 9th in line. It’s a disaster of a system. I left around 0900.

so, from that did you get one of the first appointments and leave with a permit?

I renewed last Thursday, (11/9) Showed up around 7:30 A.M. only took about 15-20 minutes.
FYI, I also saw a sign on the wall that said "They don't accept online certificates"

Renewed a couple days ago. Took 10-15 minutes max. I don't think it even possible to make it any easier, other than to eliminate permitting all together.

I went to ArapCo last Tuesday morning. My permit was set to expire the next day, Wednesday.
I had 2 transactions at the Motor Vehicle office close by on an 8:15 appt, then to Sheriff's. Was out of the building, new permit in hand before 9am.
Totally painless. Very friendly staff, as well.
Only downside... wrote 3 checks to Arapahoe County in well under an hour...
