This company blows!! Was half way through a refi when all of a sudden I get the disclosure documents that have different figures/terms than what was promised. Classic bait and switch. Coincidentally my existing mortgage company reached out to me when they got notice of a payoff and are fast tracking my refi through them at better terms. I tried with them in December and there weren't any viable options but things changed in the past month where they're happy to take care of me.

Beware of American Financing, NOT a decent company. They had also already put through a change in mortgage holder with my insurance company-I called my agent today and told them NOT to change it, she said she has also heard bad things about American. Ok, I feel better now LOL.

Exact opposite experience last spring/summer.

It was during the crunch when rates hit rock bottom. It took 3 months, but my payment dropped about 5% going from a 30 year with 27 years left to a 15 year. 4.25% to 1.95% with average credit. (Only credit was the mortgage). Mortgage insurance dropped due to huge gain in appraisal.

They do let their people drink on the job, so maybe that happened.

I have used Provident Funding for 3 mortgages. Good every time. FYI

But, but, but wasn't Peyton Manning with you every step of the way, 24 hours a day?

They've got to pay for what must be a sky high advertising budget somehow, right?

Haha yup, I’m sure Peyton’s not doing the commercials for his health! I went to AF due to a friend’s recommendation, turns out I’ve come across more people with bad experiences than good.

I used them several years ago and was very pleased.

I contacted them because two friends had used them, a number of years ago, and were happy. Maybe they’ve gotten too big. Oh well. Glad my current mortgage company is giving me a good deal/fast tracking with no fees as I’m an existing customer.

I'm a real estate agent, and I have yet to have a good experience with any buyer using an American Financing loan. Now, I haven't had any of my own buyers use them to be fair...but any offer I've received on my listings from them, they have been on the struggle bus the entire length of the deal. YMMV though.

They are my 2nd least favorite loan company to work with (the absolute worst by a country mile is Navy Federal).

Provident +. I would go with them again.
