Like a roof style one. I have a good friend whose dad is a concrete guy, so that part (concrete patio slab) I?ll have covered. But I need an attached patio roof added to my house, and would need to submit plans to the HOA in advance for approval.

Can any of our fine members help me out with this?? I took a picture of a neighbor?s house for comparison.

Are you saying you want to do a better job than the one we did for you two houses ago? LMAO.

At least we found out that you can use a string and a half full can of BudLight as a plumb bob.

Dang. Is that an almost zero pitch roof?

Is likely a 1/12 or 2/12 pitch, so it'll be modified bitumen instead of a shingle.

Edit, actually, you can see in the picture that roof is shingled. In that case, you have to ask the building department and they will make you do the entire square footage in at least double felt (required by code on slopes under 4/12), but more likely just do all ice and water shield.

Dang. I could almost pull that off on my patio.
For some reason I didn?t think a roof that flat was allowed.

There is no restriction on the pitch of the roof, just the type of roofing allowed for low pitches.

Raise the ledger at the house to increase pitch and add headroom on patio. (18-24" ?)

Raise the beam and hang the rafter tails to open things up. Just some ideas.

Contractors are swamped, good luck!

The pictures are taken from a neighbor?s house, who allowed me to photograph it. I?m looking for recommendations for someone who can build me one. I tried the member owned business section, but the majority of those threads haven?t been touched in like 5 years.
