Is Youtube Censoring Audio?

Been listening to some "controversial" YTs this week. High profile and low profile. I'm noticing that anything "sensitive" in being bleeped or audio removed.

Anyone else noticing this?

They've been doing it for a while. They are basically taking an over the air television party, IMO, about censoring swearing. I was angry at certain channels at first, but it sounds like it's a YouTube thing so people are complying to continue making money.

I'm talking about more recent events (last couple of weeks).

I am well aware of YTs purge of non party line content.

They bleep stuff sometimes and outright delete stuff all the time. It’s in no way free speech on YouTube. Not as bad as communist China or Russia, but it’s creeping closer especially with the “guilty in the court of public opinion” because someone says or does something.

I don't like it, but at the same time feel like we're pretty spoiled. Name another time in history when you could get away with showing the type of content you could/can on YouTube. The "good times" for YouTube probably ended yesterday in the historical context of media.

They have started deranking and demonetizing videos with cursing so a lot of creators have started self censoring.
