View Full Version : Inexpensive red dot that will mount on one slot of picatinny?
Putting together a Savage Cub for my little guy. He's cross eye dominant so I want to try to make it easier for him by running a red dot. I have a scope base for it that looks something like this. I'm on the hunt for something inexpensive that I could mount to just one of these and would appreciate any suggestions.

Primary arms can be had for around 100, less if you catch a sale. Basically a good h1 knockoff

The two bushnell TRS-25’s I bought have held up great. One sits on a Ruger 10/22 and the other was on my SBR Scorpion till I got a good deal on a Sig Romeo. They can be on Amazon for about $80.

walmart has the tasco RDS for $32. I ran one of the 1st gen units for years on a 22. If it drops, OOPS you're not out a $100 bill.

Ebay regularly has them listed below $70.
As Wulf202 said, Primary Arms. Or the Used Vortex would work too.

Holosun $140
Pinty Pro $50
Holosun with auto wake up and 50k hour battery is a decent red dot for most applications.

Not a red dot, but check out this 6x 22lr scope from primary arms. It's got ranging cans, bottles, and clays.
