DPMS or AR-10 For Precision 6.5CM Build?

Hi all,
My friend wants to build an ar-10 rifle in 6.5CM. He wants to use it for target and hunting and he asked me if he should go the DPMS route or armalite. Does anyone know which one is more popular and which one would be better suited for a budget precision build?

DPMS high. I’ve used Aero Precision receivers and haven’t had a problem with compatibility.
