I have two.Petzl Tikka headlamps, one stays in my camping/hunting stuff and one stays in my tool pouch at work (I work construction). Other than replacing batteries they still do the same thing they did 15 or so years ago when I bought them.

Tikka if you want light and small, 3 settings, not super on AAA. Black Diamond is bigger and runs on AA. Lots of functions and lasts well as long as power is reasonable. Got a cheap energizer one too, it?s fine not sure about durability. Costco Duracell come in a 3 pack. Has regular spots and a flood function on separate buttons. No idea how well the batteries last.

What? No, I don?t have a headlight problem.

Costco Duracell 3 pack are great as long as you don?t need the lightest one on the market. They have slowly replaced some of the others that I have had.

I also have a Petzl Tikka and like it. I bought it not long before good, inexpensive lights became easily available. While my Tikka still operates great, I probably use the cheap ones more. I can keep one in my truck, another in a day pack, another in the tool box....

I use the Streamlight double clutch every day at work. Good solid light bright and its not too bad price wise if you get online. The tool trucks charge double.
I recommend getting a couple of extra batteries for it so you can swap them out when one needs a charge.

I have probably close to 2 dozen headlamps of various makes and sizes. They are bright enough for everything I tend to do, from work and auto repair to hiking in during hunting. They're small, lightweight and reliable and, because they are a lot cheaper than many options out there, I don't worry if they break (only had 2 break over the last 15 or so years) or get lost.

They don't zoom to focus the light to a spotlight, but I rarely need that option. The one I linked is 300 lumens which is plenty bright enough for anything I need to do.

With a fresh set of batteries before the first day of hunting I don't have to replace the batteries at all during hunting season and typically still have power for random headlamp use until late summer.

I have been thinking of replacing the flashlights in the cars with cheap headlamps. If you got a spare hand then headlamps are fine to hand use. And if you need both hands a flashlight is a pain.
First world problems.

Also just a general comment. Headlamps have replaced all my car work lighghts except for a few rare cases. And as I age my eyesight sucks without copious light. Headlamps help is huge.

I assume since no vehicle information was posted by the OP he was looking for a light that goes on your head. Yes it can have that meaning as well.
