Caught a piece of something that sounded like someone is planning a ten round magazine limit on a national level.

Anyone have anything or was I just having a weird dream?

Haven?t seen anything specific to that, but sounds like something they would want along with the AWB.

DeGette announced a new bill to limit mags to 10 rounds.

You could have said this anytime in the last 20 years and no one would have blinked an eye.

It would be more effective to pass a law requiring all mass murderers to register themselves.

Yeah, the statement is generic enough to have been accurate since the early 1900's. You could say someone is planning to ban all guns at the national level too, also accurate since the early 1900's. [LOL]

Can you 3D print a 50 BMG barrel?

If they could figure out printing 3D functional porn stars, they'd be more powerful than the government.

Asking for a friend.

Proposing a ten round mag limit, another bill to expand the supreme court, another bill for slavery reparations. Insanity.

Metal printing is coming sooner than you think.

Your wish has been granted.....

Pfft. It wasn?t anything I wished for. Just overheard part of a conversation and wasn?t sure what they were talking about.

I will admit I did get a little panicky and ordered a handful of extra magazines for one of my handguns. I usually have a policy of ten mags per gun but this particular one is kind of a safe queen and I?ve procrastinated about stocking up.

Pretty sure I?m stacked deep on certain rifle mags so if this thing looks like it might become reality and prices get stupid I might sell off a few for a tidy profit.

And today they're going after silencers...

https://www.foxnews.com/politics/democrats-legislation-ban-gun-silencers

New Jersey Democrats Sen. Bob Menendez and Rep. Bonnie Watson Coleman on Thursday introduced legislation to ban gun silencers.

The 2021 Help Empower Americans to Respond (HEAR) Act, which Menendez first introduced in 2019 after the Virginia Beach mass shooting that killed 12 people, bans the sale, manufacturing, importation, transfer and possession of gun silencers.

"Gun silencers are dangerous devices with one purpose and one purpose only – to muffle the sound of gunfire from unsuspecting victims," Menendez said in a Thursday statement. "The sound of gunshots is what signals you to run, hide, take cover, call the police and help others save themselves; however, this is nearly impossible when a gun silencer is used."

well of course, after all, silencers being used all over this country in crime...NOT!!!!!! More proof that it's nothing to do with preventing crime, it's ALL to do about control.

Just takes SCOTUS to rule that the 2nd only applies to organized state militias and is not an individual right.

That's why you don't need a permit or tax stamp to buy them in other countries. Those countries want unsuspecting victims. Obviously.

Don't know where to get a silencer, but I do like suppressors.

Interestingly, suppressors can be purchased in New Zealand over the counter and without any registration. As I understand it, the Kiwis consider it polite and a good thing to lower the noise coming out of their hunting rifles. On the other hand, getting a semi-authomatic anything there is a whole other problem ...

They are over the counter in Norway as well. And they are a culture of campers, hunters, and shooters. It isn't just a "couple nuts" with guns, it is pervasive in their culture and considered almost a requirement in some places to have a suppressor.

I have some family in Oslo, for the record. They often go into the gun shops and caress the suppressors, like a child you adopted out, love dearly, yet can never take back home with you. I get sent pictures from time to time.
