"As a result of Colorado landmark Casa Bonita filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy on Monday, Procter & Gamble plans to lay off approximately 50% of their Pepto Bismol division."
"We are exploring whether it makes financial sense to bail Casa Bonita out or try and survive on Taco Bell customers alone."

Well that's shitty news...
That is really good stuff, need to pass this on to visiting relatives who always wanted to go there.
On a side note. I wonder what will become of the property? Neat place but dated.
I'm guessing a scrape and massive condo project probably called Casa Bonita.

Casa la Gente, "the People's Home", in light of our "wokeness"

The parent company is doing ch 11 reorganization. Casa Bonita is planning on reopening next month.
The story is funny.

Luckily Westfax Brewing is still next door. Good beer and surprisingly a Buffalo Bills bar.
Yeah, as others have inferred Chapter 11 doesn't mean to much from the public perspective. It is "reorganization" and trustee managed, potentially shedding some debt. Ordinarily, they keep businesses operating and they continue on after the reorganization. Just like a Chapter 7 bankruptcy doesn't mean much from an individual perspective (most people keep everything). Large franchises often trim off a few underperforming stores - e.g. ones that turn a loss.
So... you'll still be able to have a sopapilla and shit your pants if you really want to.

I hope they make it through the reorganization. I'm not anxious to eat at Casa Bonita again, but there's still a part of me that'd be disappointed to see it close. I first went there as a little kid visiting my cousins in Lakewood and have been many times since. My brother's "little" girls (now 19 and 22) first visited as young children. We took their softball team there after a tournament one weekend. I'm pretty sure my niece took her Aerospace Engineering nerd friends from CU Boulder to Casa Bonita sometime during their sophomore year. Lots of memories.
I've said it here before, but I've eaten much worse food at restaurants than Casa Bonita.
I remember spending much of my lost youth at the arcade next door. I remember both of my sisters working there when they were in high school...and a whole bottle of Joy in the fountain one night.
