As the looming recall for newsom looks like it's a go. We're going to see a few interesting candidates jump in the ring.

I find this one interesting, based on a few things. The obvious one is IF Jenner (as of yet unaffiliated) a decent contender. What special interest groups will attack "her"
ESPECIALLY if it gets out "she" has a more centrist, than liberal ideology?

https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/politics/2021/04/23/caitlyn-jenner-announces-bid-california-governor/7350349002/

Jenner says: "I'm In! California has been my home for nearly 50 years. I came here because I knew that anyone, regardless of their background or station in life, could turn their dreams into reality. But for the past decade, we have seen the glimmer of the Golden State reduced by one-party rule that places politics over progress and special interests over people. Sacramento needs an honest leader with a clear vision."

It?s no longer about liberal ideas. You must be an extreme leftist. The Ds have been dragged so far over by the extremists in their party.

Wonder if they will really succeed in getting him out.

States like CA, NY, NJ, and MA are stuck to the left so bad that it won't matter Jenner, Schwarzenegger, Wilson, Davis, or Brown becomes a governor. It is like 1 small tug boat (governor) pulling out an stuck Evergreen (entire state of CA). Left or Right, it is stuck. lol

I believe that when the last recall election occurred and Arnold became the governator that there were something like 135 candidates running for governor. Basically the way the recall elections work pretty much anyone can sign up to be on the ticket.

2003 CA recall election was shit show for sure. It was damn shit show funny when every turds out there were running. Funniest one was when back then Lt Governor Bustamante ran for a recall election. That was dumbest crap I've seen. It was for sure dumber than Larry Flint and Gary Coleman running. At least they finished top 10th. [LOL]

Bustamante had an apparently icy relationship with Governor Davis, a fellow Democrat, during his tenure. They reportedly had not talked in months before the recall election approached. Bustamante's decision to run in the recall election was controversial, as many supporters of Governor Davis had urged prominent Democrats not to run, in an attempt to undermine the legitimacy of the event. During the recall election, Bustamante ran on a platform slogan of "No on Recall, Yes on Bustamante,"[3][4] indicating he opposed the recall.

It won't really matter who wins when the Dems have a veto proof majority in both houses of the state legislature, and the whole state supreme court leans as far left as AOC.

You speak like a conservative will win.
Did not the General election of 2020 teach you anything?
Democrats will simply continue to steal elections.
As we have been shown there is nothing to stop them from doing such.

The way the elections were run, has a lot of R's very unhappy. A great example is the recount happening here in AZ. between the stalling from not only D's but McCain style R's it was a long road to get to this point. IMO. Career politicians have been against any recount, as it puts them in a dangerous place, as we saw during trumps term.

The feeling around here, speaking from a position as a one with close ties to the Yavapai cty R precinct committee people is one of anger. Especially when those who fought and spent their own money to get to this stage. Were met with serious resistance from the State GOP as well as other politicians.

THE TLDR version

Voters feel like they were screwed when the SoS called the election early. Even more so, when the Guv did nothing to question said SoS call. As well as ignoring his voting base, not only in the legislature, but in private as well.

That anger might just keep R's home in 22.

Is Bill Simon running again?

He is like Bob Beuprez of California. He ran twice including recall election (later dropped out and supported Arnold)

That anger might just keep R's home in 22.

Yes Sir, I understand - it would be (to me) a big mistake to stay home in 22. My perspective is this, defeat is contagious. Courage is also contagious. R's, Conservatives everywhere (cause not all Republicans are truly "conservative") need to get over the anger and get courageous and fight (figuratively of course) by voting, writing the elected (legal or not), and winning hearts and minds of others who think likewise.

Or, accept defeat and wallow in it.

I know I'm not going to accept defeat or wallow in it. I've writing, I'll be voting, and I'm reaching out to the "new" gun owners I know to ensure they understand the rights they have that are God given, not elected official given, and that THEY EACH have a responsibility to ensure generations after ours have those same God given rights.

Maybe some think that's na?ve, that's THEIR God given right. For me, it's all I know - setback, pick yourself up, get back in the fight. There are people (some yet unborn) depending on it.
