And to think we thought the old "Army of One" commercial with the blouse-less dude, who looked like a deserter running through the desert, was bad...

I can’t help but envision the Chinese, Russians, Muzzies and whoever else seeing this and laughing their ass off at us....
Army seems to be leading the way to woke.

Holy shit... I thought the AF had gotten bad...
Are they having that much trouble with recruitment? Or is this just an attempt to up their 'woke count' with the rest of the .gov?
Yeah, its been a growing issue for some time.

well based on what i know from a soon to be discharged Army enlisted. There's almost as much time spent discussing feelings and wokness. Than there is actual training. It's also somewhat prevalent in other areas of the armed forces.
IMO it's not TODAY'S ARMY. but TODAY'S NANNY
I made it all the way to the two moms part
Same. As I killed it my four year old said "two moms whaaaaa?"
The thing that I find most concerning with these things is simply advertising target. They want more recruitment of the next generation, so they are targeting....
...the "woke" elements of it? Many of those will be little more than a liability. Many of those hate the principles of their citizenship. They are either a liability with a clearance, or liability with a gun, or in some cases, both. They are also a lot more likely to directly disobey anything they disagree with. It would be better to have lower #'s in the forces than massive liabilities everywhere.
Shouldn't they be targeting advertisements to the segment that, I don't know, believes in the whole "dying for your country" bit?

In that CIA "woke" recruitment ad, doesn't the "actress" mention she was diagnosed with an "anxiety disorder" ?? wouldn't that eliminate her from being issued a firearm...??

Really? I don't believe that bullshit for a second after listening to her in that video. I'm white, male, conservative and unapologetically proud of it. I'll just stand by while your head explodes..."Mija".

Yet Vindman was hailed as a hero, for speaking out against trump. As well as any other .mil person who questioned him. NOW your failure to toe the party line, is cause for your removal from duty.

His critique is considered contrary to SECDEF policy. US Space Force is under extreme scrutiny, due to being the new kid on the block. Personally, I'd be more concerned about the Senate Select Intelligence Committee hearing scheduled for next month on the UFO/UAP situation.
Podcast excerpt:
Regarding Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin, he said, "I don't demonize the man, but I want to make it clear to both him and every service member this [diversity and inclusion] agenda, it will divide us, it will not unify us."

I'd really like those in "power" who took issue with his words. Tell us why, what he wrote was wrong, or should i say incorrect? Where's the debate, countering , with legit answers his side of the story. Instead of (what seems to be the norm) having them disappear.
When a benign version of the thought which was the driving force behind some of America's greatest generations of success becomes unwelcome, what will the competing frame of thought bring?
Only a certain subsect of Americans are allowed to fight for the country I guess. I mean, why would we want everyone to proudly defend the country?

I don't think that's the point and I don't think that's the objection most people have to this type of ad. And, frankly, it probably goes much deeper than just this ad. It's a continuation of the brainwashing that's going on in society today...trying to make the abnormal, normal.
There's one potential great use for this ad... Just before we go to war with the Chinese or the Russians we can hack into all their TV broadcasting locations and play this ad over and over. Their non-woke militaries will be so overcome with hysterical laughter their combat-capable rates will drop dramatically.
ETA: Can you honestly and objectively say this is the type of image you want to portray of the fighting force responsible for providing security for your way of life?
I can honestly and objectively say that I want people of all walks of life to want to appreciate this country enough to fight for it. I can honestly and objectively say that I understand that to advertise to different groups of society takes different ads, and even PVT Potato understands that any one advertisement is not the embodiment of the entirety of the US armed forces.
Bailey Guns

I don't think Pvt Potato understands or considers that at all. I think Ptv Potato sees the ads (the regular Army ads) and thinks he's gonna be the next special operator doing all the cool missions. I think Amn Potato looks at the Air Force ads and imagines himself the next Chuck Yeager. I think Lt I Have Two Mommies looks at this and expects the Army to be that way when it isn't. In reality Lt I Have Two Mommies gets put in charge of turning the key that launches the missile that vaporizes a city in a faraway land. I wanna know she can do it without her judgment being clouded by thoughts of all the innocent people she's about to kill because governments can't play nice with one another. I want Pvt Potato to be able to look into the eye of his enemy while he slashes his throat with a knife because he's out of ammo from shooting all of Mr Enemie's buddies.
That's a fair assessment, but isn't it the military's job to filter those people out of service or into the kitchen before it comes to that?
Bailey Guns
05-28-2021, 13:12
Yeah...probably. But now the military is staffed by Lt I Have Two Mommies. And, you know...fairness and equality and gender identity and shit like that is more important than killing people and breaking stuff when the need arises.

The same people who are in the leadership roles that decide commercials like this are good policy make all the other policies...like weeding "those people" out. Suddenly, "those people" don't get weeded out.
These are the types of policies and recruiting programs that are designed by politically correct politicians. They're not designed by generals and admirals that want war-fighters instead of social justice warriors.
This is trickle down garbage from woke pentagon flag officers.
The woke liberal left has infiltrated those ranks.
The real warfighters don't play this shit.
If the military can survive the draft, it'll survive this.

Not if their recruitment numbers are down. Just liek the NYPD dumbed down it's hiring qualifications. That allowed people with a record and could not pass a drug test. Entrance to the academy.
Society is more interested in "the numbers" than producing productive employees, .mil, le etc.

Merely surviving isn't the goal. Being able to immediately and effectively respond to conflict and to win that conflict decisively should be the goal. I don't care how you try to spin this...it's not good for military or the country. There are other ways of letting people who lead "alternative lifestyles" know they're welcome besides putting out recruitment videos that pander to the woke crowd. My guess is there's very little positive feedback from the general population towards these videos.

It's certainly not popular on YouTube. 132,000+ negative, 5,400 positive reactions. 1 in 24 people view it in a positive light. Certainly not scientific...but that can't be good news to those that made the video.
I don't any amount of politically driven messaging is "good" for the military.
