Want something a bit more stout than the plastic magpul that came on the carbine-it has the front sight tower which I’m keeping on the gun.
Thinking about the Troy folding rear-other suggestions in the same price category ($110 or so)? The only other one I have experience with is ARMS.

An individual whose opinion I respect took one of his rifles and hammered his plastic (Magpul) sight hard into the edge of a sturdy countertop. It buckled and folded and then popped right back up into place. He said I was free to give it a shot with a nice set of aluminum sights if I wanted to see what happened. I've been perfectly happy with the polymer sights ever since.

I'm assuming the OP is talking about using them on an AR. How anyone could use the micro sights on an AR and actually get a sight picture is beyond me. I'm sure they're awesome for other rifles that don't have the inline action and straight buffer tube of the AR.

I have zero issues shooting with Troy micro sights.

I don't have a giant head.

I like the matech or KAC ones myself as far as the metal ones. The Magpul are what I use for the polymer and have been happy with them.

Duct tape? [Coffee]

Reread the OP. Nevermind.

Sorry I wasn’t clear-the front sight tower I thought would suffice but yes this would be for an AR carbine. Rear sight only, I’m not removing the front sight.

Thanks for the feedback, good food for thought.

Matech work and are inexpensive. They're are plenty of contract overruns and you can get new ones for $50
