View Full Version : Guns. What?s your wet dream?
I recently bought an Arsenal AK that?s been on my bucket list as long as I can remember. Now, I?m thinking...
I have a bucket list of fun guns that I want to own. I figure we have a limited window of opportunity to buy these guns, Here?s my list.
I?d love to see yours.
Absolute list:
Rock Island VR60
PSA AR 10
Fun List:
CZ Scorpion Evo 3
Rock Island VR80
IWI Tavor
Springfield M1A Socom
Money doesn?t matter list:
Bushmaster BA50

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Mauser C-96, Manurhin M-73, Kidd Super Match
2020 was the year that I got rid of many firearms. I did manage to fill most of pistols, but did not fill many carbine/rifle and shotgun side.
SCAR 20S was one of my list since 2020,but after shooting PSA AR10 Gen3 20", I do not think I need SCAR20s anymore.
My "money doesn't matter" LIST is ones that I just cannot justify the cost of owning. I do not compete anymore. It is just all recreational now.
Absolute list:
Sub-Compact pistol such as P365X, Shield2, glock 43x, etc (just need one)
AK-47 or variant pistol
MPX 4.5"
Any Beretta 28" and 30" O/U
Any Pump 28" and 30" (probably cheap SXP trap)

Grail gun, a Colt revolving shotgun.
As for others, I am not to particular and had most of the ones I wanted, until the boat sank.
Most of mine would involve class 3 items, like full auto M4, Steyr Aug and AK-47 or 74. Holy grail gun would be a Ma Deuce.

This is my answer too. Any belt-fed, reliable, .30 caliber or larger, would do me fine. The Vickers is mighty cool, so's the M60, but there's some awesome newer stuff out there that I'd love to get a chance at.
I've also always wanted a Mac-10 with all the accessories. Nothing else sounds like a Mac-10.
I've always wanted to shoot an AA-12. I don't think I would do anything with it if I owned one, but I'd sure like to shoot one for a bit.
I have always wanted a Singer. But it would just have to sit in a fireproof safe inside of another fireproof safe, so it's not all that much fun.
On the less expensive side of things, I would love to own a long range thumper like a Barrett in .338 Lapua. I don't know where would I shoot it though, it takes a lot of range to get your moneys worth out of that cartridge.
Maybe dumb, but I think if someone laid it all out in front me I'd pick the Browning M2.

I've always wanted a .22 Hornet. The newest generations of bolt actions from CZ, Ruger, and even Savage really appeal to me. I've also liked the thought of a big semi auto chambered in a rimmed cartridge like a Dragunov or some iteration of SVD. I was seriously looking at a Chiappa Rhino before things got crazy. Preferably stainless steel in .357 Magnum to match my other revolvers. Since I mentioned crazy, a PCC chambered in a cute cartridge like 9 x 25 Dillon would be a fun range toy. I think with a carbine length barrel and handloading you could mitigate much of the blast that people criticize that round for.
If anyone's wet dream is a first gen S&W M&P in .40 with an Apex trigger, let me know.

For me it's the quirky, hard to find and generally obsolete guns. Right off the top of my head a Finnish Lahti L-35. A great looking pistol - like the Luger but without the goofy toggle block action.

Back in the 80's when gun shows were fun I would occasionally run across one. They were probably $500 back then (the equivalent of $1000 or more today) and I wish I'd gotten one back then. Husqvarna M40 (which is the same gun but made under license in Sweden) are easier to come across than a genuine Finnish Lahti and occasionally you see them on GB or the like.
For long guns? Probably a BAR. When we were in Haiti in 1994-95 we confiscated weapons from the local police forces and kept them in the SCIF where I worked and for quite a while there were a couple of BAR's in that collection along with a whole bunch of really poor condition M1 Garands.

I always wanted one of these, a FEG SA85M. Its a Hungarian AK with the blonde wood and thumb hole stock. No use for it at all, I just shot one as a teen and loved it. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20210526/f5d6d86a80f2f46539f0a3a973aa0aa2.jpg

If we're dreaming, I want an MP5SD, but I want to buy a brand new one. I want to order it off the internet, pay less than a grand for it, have it shipped directly to my door and I want all of this to be 100% legal without any form of BGC, license, tax stamp, SOT or any other other government nonsense. And I want this to be the situation with every other gun I ever buy.

My list of guns I've wanted for the past few years consists of:
Sig P365XL
MP5 clone
Lever action .357 w/threaded barrel
This year, I've bought:
Imbel FAL
PTR-9
Sig P365XL
Henry Big Boy X .357
I'm pretty happy :)
For me - nothing out there is in the wet dream category - but the closest one(s) I have is a real WWII M1 Carbine, made by IBM, Underwood typewriter company, Rock-Ola Manufacturing Corporation - in that order....now if I was going for the cherry on top of this fun, I would like to have M2 Carbine with 3 round burst.
But the fun would vanish shortly after getting my hands on one and figure that they are too historical to go shoot the snot out of them. The legacy style I would even consider shooting would maybe be an IDF version...
And yes, there are newly made M1 Carbines, they are quite nice - if you get the right one.

Anything full auto with no paperwork.
:)
M2 Carbine with 3rd burst? Was such a thing ever made? I thought they were either semi or full.
I don't have many burning gun desires anymore, but an M2 would make my list. Otherwise, most any old Winchester or Marlin leverguns. An original Winchester 1876 in .50-95 would be sweet.

You have your dream and I will have mine; I don't think there was such a beast; but that would be what I would want.
An AR pistol was on my list for 20 years after I saw one at a show. Finally fixed that a few years ago, and wish I had gotten it sooner.
I let a reworked old school break down shotty get away. It was a project I wanted to create and seeing it there on the used rack was awesome. That shotgun was apparently a very weak design and I passed and now I wish I had not.
I ran into a ratty pump 22lr at a pawn shop. Absolute disaster of a gun and pricier than it should have been. But it came up to my shoulder perfectly every time. By the time I went back for it it was gone. Sigh.
I need a lever gun in 357. With a threaded barrel. I missed when Jim was selling his and have been mad about it since. Come on Ruger, bring back the lever gun.

Ah, gotcha. I fired a M2 once, deffinitely on my list.......

Sometimes I wonder what it would be like to have that kind of money. The review linked below does a good job of selling it. Looks amazing.

Ridiculous ranging capabilities well beyond anything else available … period. Can range over 30,000 yards, and can even range through glass (no others I’ve seen can)
