View Full Version : Out overlords increasing costs again
So, since they can't get a tax increase to go through, they add "fees" on gasoline and registration
Now, they're going for plastic bags.

Ain't that just swell... Because the rest of the world isn't worse about single use plastic and styrofoam than any of the US...
I don't want the .gov involved, ie it shouldn't be legislation, but I don't understand why styrofoam is still a thing... Whether food service, packing peanuts, or otherwise, that shit is just annoying...

What happened to the corn starch based bag technology that was around a decade or two ago? They were supposed to decompose in a period of months outside.

Leave what? The United Communist States of America?
Because other than leaving America, you will still be subject to the Federal Government, which has assumed control.
From Rush 2112, "We have assumed control."
Much better to stay put and fight, from my perspective.

To at least a more free state. This State itself is costing me too much money. Yes, the feds are doing their damage as well, but CO is swirling the Cali bowl faster than ever.
Maybe I can keep a little more of my money to spend before I die.
I respect your decision, but I think it is wrong, and that we all need to stay put and fight, at this point.

I am not native to CO, and most of my family does not live here. A lot of our decision deals with a 3hr drive to visit family compared to a 2500mi round trip to do the same.
Add in that voters in major metros here are largely morons and will vote a certain way on issues, then vote the opposite way on people, that the same octane gas here is 93 cents more per gallon, and that the whole situation is accelerating at a blinding place, the decision made itself.
Hell, I can give myself a almost 5% pay increase by just changing my address with HR to a friendlier state.
I admit I have been looking at wide open spaces in Wyoming (or at least outside of City/Counties) and it looks attractive.
But, the Federal Government is coming for us all. They have no city/state/county bounds. Yes, it may be slower in a rural neighborhood, rural state, but the Federal Government is coming for us all.
I guess my point is leave, but don't expect too much more freedom.
Better to stand and fight.
