Took in the show in Lone Tree last night, had a really great time (almost said "blast" but ya know-pun). My older son is currently deployed in a crappy place. His wife and three munchkins (20 months, 4 & 7 yrs old respectively) wanted to go to a show. We loaded up a couple coolers, had lawn chairs and some blankets. There was a live band, pretty good imho, kids running all over the place, everyone was friendly and just wanted to have fun. The show started at 9:30, ended at 10. Was actually pretty easy to egress without a big wait.

I got home around 11, saw lots of large displays on the drive west on Lincoln to I25. Once I hit my neighborhood there was lots of evidence of neighborly good times but everyone was, thankfully, finished. Heard a few big boomers in the distance for about 30 minutes then all was quiet.

Hope you all had a fun 4th!

I was at the erie racetrack. Watched 2 to the north east (Windsor? ), one to the north west (Lyons) and one to the south east (erie) from the stands along with the track,s show.

Then on the way home many unsanctioned shows lighting up the Denver skyline.

Wellington always puts on a good show, they launch them approx 75yds in front of everyone. You can feel the big ones and there nice and loud. Loveland put on a good show over the lake but traffic is a nightmare.

You missed the good old days when Butlin exploded most of the stuff ten feet off the ground in the X.....funny shit.

We were in Texas with the oldest, DIL and 2nd grandson.

We spent a small fortune on fireworks and didn't come close to what some neighbors were lobbing into the sky.

The only injury was actually the night before. #1 grandson fell off a high couch horsing around and it turns it it's broken. Tuff little shit put up with it all weekend until we got back to CO and decided he needed to be checked. Of course, everyone feels bad for letting it go until today.

There were some incredible shows in the Springs. Unfortunately, I missed them all for a variety of reasons but boy did I hear them going.
