Has anyone here used an online source for a background check?

Personal life BS, not going into details on an internet forum.

Just looking for recommendations on how to check, specifically criminal, but personal background on a person.

Thanks in advance.

CBI website. Was like 5$ and you need birthdate etc.

Are you looking to get background check with or without the person's consent?

I suggest you hire a licensed private investigator, and if you do, do shop around on price/service.

If I remember correctly, forum member & moderator TheGrey might have some answers for you.

Thanks everyone.

I have a pretty decent handle on my path forward, but if there are other recommendations, I certainly won't turn them away.

Depending on the reason either a pi or a second for Intelius. Had a girlfriend that used that one for her rental property.

Intelius is crap- stale data and not FCRA compliant, so not legal for tenant checks or pre-employment because there's no verification of the person.

If you want to do it yourself, go with CBI and then CoCourts- CoCourts will set you back $10 for all counties in Colorado that are online; CBI will be $5 and will require a date of birth.

Tip: When using CoCourts, provide only the first and last name- not an initial and not a date of birth. You'll have to sort through many names, but you won't miss any that way.

If you need help, hit me up.

Backgroundchecks.com is what I've used for a while...

Runs about $70 to do a full nationwide/state/county/natsec search with alias verification, etc., if I'm remembering correctly.

ETA: there's also a bunch of good OSINT resources you can use to cast the "wider net"...send me a pm if interested, that's not stuff that should be posted here.

CBI's check only does Colorado, no other states.
