Background check wait times are WAY down. Anyone think firearm prices are going to drop soon?

yup. just like hand sanitizer prices.
it was 300%+ for hand sanitizer. Now it is about 1 cents for 32oz wholesale vendor price. (bought ~$30 worth)

Both firearm and ammo prices are down (and dropping) from their peak.

Guns are now dropping to MSRP, what a savings! Lol.

I've noticed not only is ammo starting to trickle back into some stores, but the prices are coming down, too. Palmetto has had some crazy good gun/kit prices lately. Sonsabitches are gonna drive me to the poor house with some of their deals.

Think they are on the way down already. But won?t be back to the precovid prices.

Any traction on federal gun control though will send the stock of ammo back low and the prices up.

Now we just need availability to improve.

That “email when back in stock” button is just pillow talk.

Stores seem to have plenty of product. Hell even Centennial is selling the Colt 6920 for under $1100. Got an email from Sportsman’s Outdoor Superstore advertising it for $970 and in stock. My last background check 2 weeks ago took under 5 minutes. Agreed, ammo is coming down as well.

Did the panic buying bring this result? Seems like whatever one could want can be found at normal prices.

Yes, they have been doing that to me for sure.

The shelves at Cabelas and Sportsman’s warehouse were both heavily stocked with the most common calibers yesterday, but some of the lesser ones were still missing. Nevertheless, things are staying on the shelves a whole lot longer now, so prices will definitely come down.

They both had a lot more guns in stock too, not that I actually looked at them… just noticed they weren’t bare.

I did a BGC about a month ago and cleared in literally 10 minutes. Was in and out of LFI in 20 minutes.
Ammunition is becoming more available at retail outlets but still double or more prices than pre panic.

Gun prices are way down. I'm getting email ads from the usual vendors with prices at precovid levels on many models.

A DAMN Purse is now the gun during pandemic. It is all out of stock, and 2nd hand market is selling it for 50% premium. wth.

At the gun show today in Loveland and absolutely no shortage of firearms. Some over MSRP but quite a few at or below. Planted a couple of seeds and going back tomorrow to see if they will bear fruit!

That's due to the supply, finally catching up to demand. IMO if there's a deal one can live with, buy it.

Yep. Iron Horse Armory in Parker has a lot of ammo and guns on the shelf. The ammo is overpriced (IMO) but the selection of guns there is amazing. On a side note, the store is now under new ownership. The former owner Todd Crouse sold it to a guy by the name of Russell. The atmosphere changed to the point where 3 of us put in our notice at the same time.

Made a good deal at the Loveland gun show, my wife and daughter will be armed with S&W M&P Shields EZ for CC. I made them do the BGC, went through in under 10 minutes.

I saw several people buying handguns, only saw one guy buy a MSR. There was one vendor that had a non matching SKS priced at $999!!! AK prices went from around $750 to $1300.

Never knew anyone from here worked there. I?ve only been in a few times even thought it?s pretty close to my house. Wasn?t really a fan of that place. Ammo was crazy and they wanted me to wear a mask haha. They also were not helpful with trying to get a blue label Glock.

Stock is increasing everywhere I usually lurk, I've seen lots of (non-Turkish) tactical shotguns, magnum revolvers, Glocks, ARs on the shelves, as well as reloading components at slightly inflated prices, but still zero primers.

Palmetto is trying to kill me with some of their sales recently, so perhaps nature really IS healing!

Sorry to hear about the Blue Label issue. A while back when the mask order was mandated, we got reported for not enforcing the mandate so we had to make sure everyone was wearing a mask. Ammo is still overpriced. Last I saw we had a decent selection of Blue Label Glocks. I'm not a fan of the direction the new owner is taking, therefore I am done at the end of the month. The selection of firearms in there is impressive though.

I miss Neves when they had many blue labels.

Sportsman's and Cabellas don't even have a price tag for 6.5 Creedmoor.

Just went into my local store in Vernon, TX...first time in about 2 weeks. It's stuffed with guns of just about every type. They're literally stacking guns in cabinets. There's actually ammo on the shelves, too. Not as much as there should be, and it's still high priced, but it is coming in and coming down.

Interesting twist to the supply chain.
Got lots of guns, but can't get repair parts for your vehicle.
Hmmm!

If you have to ask, you can't afford it...

I saw that Midway sells my hunting ammo that I bought last year for the same price as I paid. I looked at a few different websites and if you filter for 6.5 CM, there are 96 options, but usually only 1 or 2 in stock. I almost never shop for firearm stuff, so this is all new to me.

I just want some dang 209 muzzleloader primers...

common grain and brand ammo are available but not much on others.

my sako loves 175gr but I fed 168gr and somehow got a better grouping at 100yd. 1 hole 5 shot groups.

I usually use hornady 250gr or 285gr eld for my other calibered rifle, but I got a berger 300gr as a father's day distance. Same velocity as 250gr?
I am looking forward to see how that does long and short dist.
