Highlights-

"...a new bill allowing the Foothills Parks and Recreation District (https://www.ifoothills.org/) (FPRD) to ban all firearms, including concealed carry by lawfully permitted citizens..."

"...it appeared at first that the board was ready to vote on the ban that night, until it was suggested that they wait for public comment at the next meeting, which is scheduled for 6 p.m. on July 27."

Then the sheriff weighs in, saying in effect, "good luck, bro". He won't enforce it.

Highlights-

"I have substantial concern in taking action against an individual who is otherwise acting in a legal and proper manner," Shrader said in part in the letter."

"I will continue to promote safe gun carrying practices and continuing education for our citizens who lawfully possess handguns. The role of the sheriff is to keep the peace and to protect individual liberties."

I would like to see specific example why CC has proven to be so problematic that bans impacting the lawful carry by 100,000 Colorado citizens are somehow justified.

Or even how CCing without a poll tax has been so dangerous to safety.

Ccw perrmits are for FUDDS who believe in regulating the 2nd.

Government has no right to know what you own or when you have it.

Dropped

Executive Director Ronald Hopp told Complete Colorado on Monday that the board of directors had decided to indefinitely table discussion

Hopp said there will not be an agenda item on the August meeting or ?any other board meeting in the foreseeable future,? citing numerous comments from the public.

That is a great sign. Elected officials actually listening to the voters.

Hopefully this will become a pattern, although I am not holding my breath.
