Well, I suppose that?s the type of stuff a government can get away with when they?ve disarmed their populace.

And everyone should not comply. Waste the guberment time and resources knocking on doors as real crime escalates and then the politicians get strung up for this nonsense.

Silly Australians. You don't go advertising this crap!

You're supposed to trick people into taking daily pictures of themselves and posting them on websites in a belief that anyone else gives a shit.

And THEN you run facial recognition on those and you pull the already geolocated data off! Way, way more Orwellian and nobody complains!

That's the 'merican way.

I wonder who is going to write the app that replaces the geolocation in the current photo with the one that they are looking for.

Four Square already does all the location data collection and is embedded into most of the popular apps.

Probably could make a decent penny with a 99cent app that you could spoof EXIF data with in this situation

Well, I suppose that?s the type of stuff a government can get away with when they?ve disarmed their populace.Ha! We have TONS of guns and still our kids can't go to school, many states refuse to allow 30% of the population into public spaces and people are getting fired for not taking a certain medication that doesn't even do what it's supposed to.

Guns haven't helped us one bit.

Name a phone with a removable battery.

Samsung Galaxy XCover Pro
Motorola Moto E6
Samsung Galaxy J2 Core
Nokia 1.3
Motorola Moto E6s
Samsung Galaxy XCover 5

An easier way is just to drop it into an RF bag....

Another way is to use a phone with a "bad" battery and use external power brick that attaches to the USB style port.

Pull the "sim" card - while not all phones have hard sim cards installed, it might help keep the phone offline if it is powered up. However; the cell might still ping cell towers.

So 6 models out of how many? Non-compliance is non-compliance no matter how you slice it, so just don't nothing is the same thing, but without all the steps.

FoxtArt
09-26-2021, 08:25
If even 25% didn't comply they would have to easily triple the size of their police force just to do all the in-person checks. And I would suspect they have at least that much noncompliance. Regulators never comprehend the manpower required for actual implementation.

I think the goal is to play their game without playing their game. Having a cell phone is having an electronic leash on you period. Now it might be possible to slip that leash from time to time without them knowing it.

Me, it might be possible to decode the Gov IM, and respond automatically with one of a series of canned photo/vids from a known spot.

FoxtArt
09-26-2021, 15:24
And the embarrassment they'll have when someone hacks it and dumps all the pictures.

It'll have as much sausage as the dump from covid closures on Octoberfest. Someone's going to start a gay dating app just with that.

I don't know if there's recognition software for peckers but there is one for the anus -- https://med.stanford.edu/news/all-news/2020/04/smart-toilet-monitors-for-signs-of-disease.html
?We know it seems weird, but as it turns out, your anal print is unique,? Gambhir said. The scans ? both finger and nonfinger ? are used purely as a recognition system to match users to their specific data.

Name a phone with a removable battery.

They are all removeable. None of them will be water proof after you are done. The phones didn't just grown with a battery in them, someone making slave wages in a foreign country had to put it in there.

While Oz isn't America. One must remember, the police will follow orders.

Yes they will. They are hostage to system. Do this or lose your job, pension, benefits, your family will suffer … Do what you are told and let the courts sort it out …

That is what the system is for, just do your job and you and your family will be fine …
