So, I have been trying to probe the market a bit for ammo in the way of reloading supplies as well as factory loaded ammo without chopping my left arm off but not having much luck. I was curious if anyone know some insider info on this whether it be times to watch certain sites and/or stores (i.e. Sportsman's Warehouse, Cabela's, or even PSA) for restock on ammo or just a great place to buy ammo and/or supplies for a decent price from a trusted source. PMs are welcome just as posts are but I was hoping to find some better prices than what I'm seeing or am I just hoping for a better day? I had heard a rumor that they are 2 yrs behind in NATO rounds and won't change over lines until production is complete so wacky/weird ammo is bound to be scarce but NATO rounds are here & there. So ya!!...any info would be GREAT!! Thanks in advance everybody!!

I've seen some not-horrible prices on ammo lately, maybe it's getting better.

Saw 1000 rounds of 9mm, 33 cents per round.

AR ammo around 50-60 cents per round

When I do spot an almost decent price (saw some M193 AR ammo $400 / 1000 that I thought about snagging) it was sold out in less than an hour.

I'm still coasting on my pre-covid / pre-biden stockpile, feel like I need to start replenishing.

I work for a larger retail gun shop / range. "Decent" prices are very subjective. I don't expect we will ever see 01/2020 pricing for ammunition ever again. Same for reloading supplies. If you can get quality 9mm ball for under .40 per round or .223 / 5.56 for under .50 it's a good deal, IMO. Last SR primers I found at Sheel's were $60.00 per K. Powder has gone up significantly as well. We see more 9mm and .223 delivered then all other calibers combined. Back orders are at least 1 year. We have over 2 million rounds on order with no delivery date.

This. Good price is very subjective and though things may go down a bit, unlikely the cheap prices of the Trump era will return.

Keep checking places for what you need and buy what you need. This will allow you to slowly stock up.

As for reloading, it?s hard to get into during times like this. Sure you can find the equipment and bullets. But powder and primers tend to get difficult to find. As things return to stock so will the components for reloading.

Another good place to spot deals, but again, you need to know what price you want to buy at, and do it quick when a deal pops up, because it's often out of stock in minutes..

Also need to be careful, because you'll find so many "deals" that you spend more money on other stuff you didn't really need...

Start reloading as soon as you can. It gets more cost effective as time goes by and is a great hobby.
