View Full Version : What app for parental controls and geofencing on a child's iphone?
My 13 year old got a phone this year. I'd like to lock it down from inappropriate content, monitor her calls and messaging, and track her movements. There are a bunch of options out there. I was about to download Famisafe when I noticed it was developed in China. No sense putting a back door in my own damn phone and paying for the privilege!
Any guidance or experience would be appreciated.
BTW, she's a wonderful kid. Very innocent. She would be an easy target for a bully, though.

Life360 does pretty well for us. Tracking. Not sure what it can do for apps.
Kill tiktok and snapchat if you can.
Call logging or tracking in snapchat has been an issue for us. Nothing is logged. Teens call and message through it with no recourse. No proof with court or search warrants etc.

We tried a few of them and came to the conclusion that Verizon Smart Family is a better overall suite than anything else, at least for us.
Yes, lockdown TikTok, Snapchat. Even Instagram has messaging that disappears now.
For Hunter, now that he is a Senior, we lifted the time constraints. but they worked well. Also, make sure to lock down content on the home ISP or they will have access to it over wifi.
