That has got to be weirdist outfit I've ever seen. Good golly, Lauren. Ain't we got class?
And is that a cardboard image of the Donald? Let's hope. She might as well be standing next to Hillary Clinton.
Why can't Boebert develop her own political following and reputation? She might as well pose in panties twerking on Donald's car for all the class displayed.
I hate how maximum divisiveness is idolized by both political ideologies. Not going to pretend like I know the solution to heal our problems, but I do know continual stuff akin to these things are marching away from solutions (and yes, the left does it too).
When bullies justify their actions because there are bullies on the other side of the playground, it just makes for a shit school.
Further proof she is the GOP's version of AOC...

Since when has class been a trait exhibited in election campaigns or in public office or even demanded by the constituency?
If you do find a "classy" politician please post their voting record as well. We can compare the quality/level of class with quality of votes cast.

I would argue that Thomas Massie is a pretty classy politician.

There's a difference between the constituency demanding people eat with two forks, and a demonstration of the complete absence of class entirely.
Some of the constituency is honorable, and want a republic of representative adults, not ruled by despotic toddlers. Clearly, a lot of people desire it or Trump would've readily won a second term.
ETA: It should be observed, this is directed at both sides, e.g. the AOC snapchat wing, as well as the GOP's instagram representatives.

If conservatives actually were familiar with their purported principles, one of these two would be in the White house right now. Instead we get clowns like Trump and Boebert, that are redefining conservatism into a pejorative.

Nice fallacious argument. I voted for Trump, for the record. (slightly better of two shitty options)
You asked when, in history, voters have ever cared about class. You got an answer you don't like.
Nowhere did I claim Biden was "classy".

So the winner over the classless Trump has shown class for the last 10 months? This whole thing of justifying someone/something because there exists someone/something "worse" is disgusting. By that rationale, everything is fine as long as it's not the worst. We should have higher standards.
Compared to Trump, Biden has shown class. He hasn't packed the court, which shows at least a hint of restraint. Biden isn't on Twitter mocking anything and everything. He isn't so thin-skinned that he's going to war with every person who disagrees with him. No porn stars have accused him of anything yet, and he doesn't have a history of openly cheating on his spouse. Even with the gaffs, he is miles ahead of Trump on class. I wouldn't let Trump spend time with my boys or be alone with my wife.
Its one thing to have held your nose and voted for Trump, hoping the damage he would do would be outweighed by something avoided/averted. Its quite another thing to fly his flag and identify oneself with him, a man without loyalty to anyone or anything but his own vanity.

You’re kidding right?
That’s funny right there buddy.
Out of one side of the mouth, they post "Thank goodness there is no mean tweets now huh",
Out of the other, they'll deny that constituents, generally speaking, want politicians to have some class and not be unabashed narcissists with the manners of a toddler. Now, you deny that it was the controlling factor that kept Trump from being reelected.
Make up your mind. Hypocrisy is not funny. Even you guys admit that voters, in fact, do care if their candidate is an unabashed asshole or the "thank goodness there is no mean tweets" comment wouldn't be so prevalent. Maybe support an electable candidate in 2024 so we can get this shit show back on track.
But no, no, we're looking at 7 more years of Biden/Harris, because apparently there's not a single person out of 100 million conservatives that is qualified, if it's not a billionaire democrat from New York, it'll be nothing.

Biden hasn't had time to pack the courts, yet. He's too busy being handled, to avoid any more fuckups. His proposed $400K payout, they're denying, to illegals is ok with you?

I held my nose and voted for Trump because the Libertarians didn't field a viable candidate and because the Democrats were openly embracing socialism, gun control, mandates, etc. Trump lost because there were a lot of conservatives with more integrity than me, in that they wouldn't let fear force them to vote for a lying philandering narcissist. His own lack of character is the reason he failed.
In future elections I'll go back to voting for what I believe in, rather than simply against the other party. I can't complain about the quality of our representatives if I'm willing to vote for the worst of them.

And yet you did. Was trump a good president? who knows,
Between the personal attacks, on an hourly basis, impeachments and other democrat / media and politicians feigning to be conservatives attacks & distractions. There was no governing. Only an insane asylum form of chaos.
From the same people who now say. "We can't get anything done, thanks to republican obstructionist"
Maybe if the GOP nominated people that aren't divisive polarizing celebrity assholes that want to split the party, it wouldn't be a problem to get everyone to vote for them.
Always a laugh fox. Because pukes like Romney would really unite and invigorate the base.

Everyone who despises the government we have when democrats are elected needs to read this and learn from it. And I don't mean that in a flattering way. This right here is an example of someone being part of the problem rather than the solution.
This is quite possibly the most contradictory and irrational reasoning I've seen posted here. Simply. Fucking. Amazing.

Yes, you guys are right and I do get it. Funny stuff, yes. But I don't want the politicians who represent my values to clown around and become a joke for the opposition to take advantage of. Lauren Boebart's mis-steps will haunt her for the rest of her career, cute butt and trashy dress or not. It will never play well in the serious realm of national politics. Dumbing down to the AOC level is not a sustainable position. I was an early supporter of Lauren Boebart but if she can't professionalize her politics she will go nowhere.

A whole bunch of us dislike the elitist attitude politicians have. So many of them think their shit don't stink. That the rest of us filthy commoners just don't understand.
Politicians are no smarter, no more sophisticated, no more wise than the rest of us. It's refreshing when we have a representative who doesn't pretend to be anything other than a regular person who represents regular people. She doesn't pretend to be better than the rest of us, which is why many people like her. She's a representative to mostly rural communities, she's not out there trying to impress political royalty. What really matters is that she fights for the issues that matter to her constituents. IMO, she can do that effectively even while making tongue in cheek jokes. And she's getting national attention in a small district that never got any, it's not all bad. Her name is nationally known which is more than any representative preceding her ever did.
Any other representative from that district ever get this much attention from the leaders of their party? Nope. She's extremely effective politically.

There's nothing really funny about some Qanon believing, post wall chick with a fat ass and 6 pounds of fakeup posing in a dress meant for someone in better shape, with a guy who cheats on his wives, abuses the bankruptcy courts, feeds into the hyperdivisive narrative of CNN and doesn't even know what due process actually is. Anyone who voted for either Biden or Trump is a part of the problem, and likely doesn't care about fixing problems, only about hurting the other side. This isn't the country I grew up in, fought and bled for, or hoped to have a family in. Now it's just petty snowflakes from both sides waving their pricks around trying to prove how horrible both sides are. The saddest part is that each side is right, the Democrats and the Republicans are both evil incarnate seeking to destroy freedom and need to be scrubbed from this Earth. And no, I didn't vote for either bowl of crap. The only time I voted for either major party was in 2004 when I was still in the army and figured I'd give W the benefit of the doubt to get us out of two wars. Big mistake in retrospect, and probably one I'll regret until the day I die, which hopefully will be soon.

You've clearly never met her. If that ass is fat, i'm a 2 legged marathon runner. Makeup? who cares, they invented light switches for a reason. With that said. Having met and talked to her a few times, at Shooters Grill. She doesn't need make up, to look good.

A couple years ago my wife and I detoured to *purposely* go to Shooters. I don't remember why, but it was closed that day.
Have yet to visit there ... but I still want to.
NOT that Boebert's Butt looks bad, but I can say (from experience) it looks better when there is a firearm strapped to the side of it.
Don't know if I will ever get that way again
(used to go see my brother in GJ, but he passed last month)
but if I do get back that way, I will surely be stopping in again.

And I'd really take issue with your physical description of Boebert. If you're going to rant, at least try to show a little objectivity. I'm really unimpressed with the discussion here. A lot of insults and offhand dismissals, but not a lot of people here seem capable or willing to come up with a cogent counterargument. If you have anything thoughtful or measured to add, this is a forum for exactly that. If you'd rather it be an echo chamber, then the previous posts are a great start in that direction.
Some people view their vote as an expression of their values and beliefs, rather than simply a choice between two likely options. JTP80's choice to not cast a vote for someone he didn't believe in shows a lot more conviction than the vote of a person willing to slurp up whatever crap is set down in front of them. I voted libertarian in the two elections prior to the last one. I knew that my candidate wouldn't win. But I'm proud that I voted for what I truly thought was best for the country. Telling people that "any vote outside of the 2 parties is a wasted vote" is the #1 way to guarantee that nothing ever changes in this country. If we had a principled articulate 3rd party candidate like a Justin Amash in the presidential debates, the other 2 parties would have to field candidates who actually knew something. They have zero impetus to field real candidates right now, because people like most of y'all here are going go in 100% for whatever useful idiot they trot out.

Maybe because you arn't worth one. When in the history of the internet, at least in the last decade has anyone changed someone elses mind. Maybe not this specific thread but most of the same arguments in this thread have been made elsewhere at length. No matter how well sourced and supported. People do not change their minds anymore via internet debate. Usually it takes a real world experience or unfortunately some kind of shock or pain to their lives like seeing all these virtue signaling parents about vaccing their kids and 2 weeks later talking about timmy in the hospital with heart issues.
PS: Lol libertarians. I think many are closer to the rational principles of them, but as a party been a giant joke somehow nominating the worst candidates imaginable. Flip flopping openly trying to pander to the flavor of the year with BLM type stuff etc and pie in the sky imaginary economic plans.

Wow.
Amash was the first "Republican" to state Trump should be impeached ... for completely imagined offenses. Yeah, he's principled. The only problem is his sole "principle" appears to be himself.
I am astounded at the number of people who have been bamboozled by Amash's schtick.
IMO, Amash is to Michigan as that phony Dan Maes was to Colorado. The same kind of people fell for both guys.

All ^ this ^ nonsense is exhibit A of this divided country.

Wow you guys are depressing. It’s like a starving lion’s den in here. Way to eat your own and do your best to alienate others that have some things in common (like support for the 2nd amendment). Instead of building up your own team, some of you seemed determined to chase everyone away. Well done. [facepalm]

That's silly, Amash is a constitutional scholar and a strict constitutionalist, and was a member of the 2nd amendment Caucus. That's a "schtick" to you???
He gave extremely specific reasons why he believed Trump could be impeached, you know, the kind that would be given by a constitutional scholar who also loves the 2A.
I trust Amash's constitutional scholarship about as much as I trust 0bama's.

Uffda. This might be the most schizophrenic thread I've seen here yet.
Tangental, surely.

The best thing about thanksgiving with family is. Once you talk politics, you save a lot on Christmas presents, you no longer have to buy.

I trust Amash's constitutional scholarship about as much as I trust 0bama's.
Curious if you’ve ever actually read anything from Amash… last I checked he rarely, if ever, misses a vote and he always explains his votes in writing to his constituents with the constitutional justification. I don’t understand why you don’t like him, but it sounds like you don’t like your own imagined idea of him, which seems quite disconnected from reality. Seriously, do like 5 mins of research.

...not a lot of people here seem capable or willing to come up with a cogent counterargument.
Oh yeah? You're a poopy head!
Haha, that'll show him!

It's not that people can't come up with rational counter-arguments. It's that those rational counter-arguments have been explained here a thousand times. This may be the first rodeo for some here, it isn't for most. It gets old having to respond to the same bullshit over and over and over again. So most people, myself included, just don't.

I think her butt got bigger from when she was originally elected. Not positive because I have never seen her in person. I would say she looks good in red …

We could go that route.
I'm not sure Boebert is dumbing down to AOC level. That would be quite a step. I've met her and thought she was pretty sharp. I do think Boebert has become very adapt at trolling the left.

Curious if you’ve ever actually read anything from Amash… Yes. Which is the reason I question his constitutional scholarship. His justification for voting to impeach Trump was ... nutty. (No. I'm not going to quote it and contest it point-by-point. That was years ago. I'm done with him.)
... last I checked he rarely, if ever, misses a vote and he always explains his votes in writing to his constituents with the constitutional justification. Why do you insist on ... reading more into my posts than I wrote? This defense of him is tangential.
I don’t understand why you don’t like him, but it sounds like you don’t like your own imagined idea of him, which seems quite disconnected from reality. Seriously, do like 5 mins of research. You are persisting in leaping to conclusions which are not valid. Please stop.
Originally I was somewhat taken with Amash as a candidate for POTUS. So I looked into his background. His history -- and his family's history -- of very shady business dealings make him look a lot like the crook others kept trying to paint Trump as back in 2015.

We could go that route. Wow! Contrasted with that history, we're doing pretty well here on this forum, huh?
"In an ironic twist, neither man had any known grievance with the other prior to the incident."
Things surely can go bad quickly, huh?
I do think Boebert has become very adapt at trolling the left. For sure!
And why is trolling a desirable political trait? If the left trolls the right and the right trolls the left, everyone will be so damn busy being smug twitter whores that China can come in and rule the world.
Political trolls is more of a waste of air and space than a Kardashian. If "pissing of the other guys" accomplished anything, we'd have a colony in another galaxy by now.
You know what makes us have a country a decade from now? Candidates that would work to mend fences. Candidates that have class. Candidates that recognize the word "United" in the name "Divided Twitter Troll States of America"
Neither side wins in a divorce. If ya'll want to keep smugly masturbating to trolling, better start practicing your mandarin too, you're going to be needing it soon.

Seriously Fox? Giving a lesson on mending fences immediately followed by "ya'll smugly masterbating to trolling".
Wow.
Learning about unity from the master.
Never claimed to be a politician or to mend fences myself.
High time people call out the "look how awesome they are at trolling the left!" beliefs, which are no different than their counterparts who think the same on the other side.
It may not be the #1 reason this country is flushed into a septic tank, but the general attitude is pretty high up on the list.
I've got an idea for politicians: How about they do the fucking job they are being paid to do.

I will take Boebert and Greene over AOC and Amash any day of the week and twice on Sunday.
FWIW I used to like JA, always thought he was a little squirrelly, but mostly on the right side of the issue, until he sided with the dems trying to impeach Trump.
