Help with a beretta 21a

So I bought one recently and the jackwagon that owned it before me removed the safety. Now I have the new parts, but I don?t know where the detent goes. I think aforementioned jackwagon, clipped the hammer pin as that?s the only logical place for it to snap into.

Does any one know if this is true, or could you provide both top and side views without the grips?

This might help. Looks like the spring and detent are in a little hole in the safety lever and the detent works off of some sort of pin in the side of the frame.

Yeah looks like it detents into the hammer pin. Mine doesn’t look cut, but it might be as well, and none of the YouTube videos so a good angle on how far out the head of the pin stick out to control the draw bar.
