Pueblo is the only Colorado metro area -- and one of only 10 in the Western U.S. -- to rank among the 50 most dangerous cities in the country.
There were over 200 shootings in the city proper in 2020 -- including 161 drive-by shootings -- and four gang-related homicides.

And yet Aurora is the problem?.
No, it's the proliferation of guns, that's the problem.

This.
Also wondered if OP had never been to Pueblo...
My brother and I spent the day, not too long ago, in a MC class at PMP on the road course, and then had dinner with friends, and were interrupted by another restaurant guest walking in and asking who had the truck and trailer, since there were people trying the door handles and wandering around. Walked out, and 3 goons were screwing with the truck, trailer, looking in the bed, etc. Called the cops and very obviously started filming on our phones.
Got called some nice racial slurs for white guys, and then watched 3 goons pile into a slammed, catholic painted civic and rip off...
Made a statement, but the LEO told us they wouldn't do anything even if the truck/trailer/bikes were stolen.

What does “Catholic painted” mean? Like, gold leaf halos Fra Angelico style?
Or beaner Santa Muerte Aztec paganism rehashed?

Same.
I?m still kind of surprised they haven?t opted to move the state fair somewhere else where people might actually attend.

Exactly. When has this NOT been official news?
Chicago isn't even on the list? WTH?

From the article:
Violence in the Pueblo metro area is being driven by gang activity and firearms.
Those damn guns going out and committing crimes... [facepalm]
It's hard to find intellectual honesty in reporting from almost any source these days.

I should have been more clear. Catholic themed artwork.
Mostly in line with Fra Angelico, but more "Harbor Freight air brush in the garage with corona's"...

These lists of "most dangerous" are generally crimes per capita, not total crimes, e.g., 100 murders in a town of 10,000 is worse that 1,000 murders in a town of 10,000,000.
I think that we're all missing the bigger picture here. As someone who not only has a Pueblo mailing address (Colorado City doesn't have a Post Office), but also spends a lot of work-time in the city, I can attest that there are a number of historic, entertaining and interesting things about PBLO. There is the County Landfill, the EVRAZ Steel Mill, the slag piles that surround the Steel Mill, Dead-Man's Ditch between the reservoir and the abandoned rail yard, and an endless kaleidoscope of burned out cars. The city has activities for the kids like dodging puddles of vomit or urine, throwing rocks at windows,'Kick the Rabid Raccoon' and the timeless classic, 'Look Out- Bitch Got A Gun!' Yeah, PBLO is a little rough- a diamond in the rough. We may not dump our bodies in nice, straight rows, we don't always get a good sight picture during our drive-byes (That shit be hard, Yo.) and yes, some of us do still eat with our feet, but that is part of our charm. PBLO Strong. PBLO Proud.

With both a crow-bar and an Anti-Gravity Gun, how could the Freeman NOT win?

Then my basement would be the number one hotspot in CO?.
Check out the reservoir action during the summer. More Range Rovers and skin then in parts of Florida.

Parkview ER in Pueblo West is worthless. Ethiopia has better doctors.
I used to have a telecom site in Pueblo, back behind the Sonic, right up against a rail yard. Neighborhood was sketchy AF, and I always had to go there at night. Damn sure rolled heavy, and always pulled my truck inside the fence and locked the gate.
