https://www.thedenverchannel.com/news/local-news/denver-coliseum-prepares-to-close-its-doors-as-a-homeless-shelter-on-friday

The "temporary" homeless housing generously provided by the taxpayers at the Denver Coliseum is ending due to the impending Stock Show. This article highlights two individuals- one there for 9 months and one there for 15 months and how they are struggling to find new accomodations.

Is it bad of me to ask what they have be doing for these multiple months and how they used the time to better themselves?

Right along with busing them out of LoDo for the All Star Game.
Pathetic.
Just heard today that Northglenn is going to use their old RecCenter to house “Those Experiencing Homelessness”.

Glad I moved

A heartless bastard? Rather, think benevolent contributor to the betterment of Denver society. The city mayor and staff could butcher, salt and hang them on the hoof for auction with high bids to charity feed the truly deserving homeless of Denver. Rocky Mountain Public Television and Colorado Public Radio could puff as sponsors and auctioneers. Then offer classes for those in group homeless housing to learn how to do it themselves. Expand into non native species like fox squirrel, collared dove, feral pigeon and feral cat hunting in city parks and street side right of ways. It's all organic, you know. And it will happen eventually.

It truly is bad. My office is around 6th and I25. One of the streets is completely filled with broken down RV's. Add the tent cities all around the same block and it's disgusting.

The crack heads regularly wander into our building (we have a night crew loading trucks with dock doors wide open). We call the police weekly.

Had more than a few crack heads running from imaginary monsters try to take refuge in our building. Watched one have a major argument with an invisible someone...then this guy started to lose his argument and decided maybe he had a better chance of winning if he argued without pants, so off they went.

A lady found taking a bath in our break room sink. Another lady waving a 12" knife around at people outside our door. Semi regular bum fights including the use of pepper spray in our parking lot. An RV burn to the ground with a half dozen propane tanks cooking off. Bums using our water. Extension cords running from our building to their camps. Gas siphoned from our cars. Catalytic converters stolen.

On and on.

All within 50 yards of our building.

While i sympathize with the issues. All that is on the building owners, to prevent access to.

The metro has created a culture that allows this to happen. Any politician that speaks up is villanized for being heartless and/or racist. This is the new normal for our upcoming utopia

A weed burner torch is effective for extension cords. Found that out the other night when I was screwing around. Does a pretty good job of ruining GFI outlets though.

In NYC, it’s fashionable to dress very down as a means of safe commuting to work nowadays.

We have hundreds of customers coming in daily from multiple access points including roll-up doors. Locking many of the doors is not an option (or legal). We are however securing any access points where that's an option.

But securing the building is only good to the door. Stepping out into the shitstorm outside, only the city can fix that.

"Anything that is over-valued, will be over-produced" Including enabling/encouraging homelessness or "the under-homed" as is now the fashionable verbiage. I never give anything to pan-handlers if they are able-bodied. If I can roll my old ass out of bed and go to work every day, they can too and there are plenty of jobs out there for the unskilled workforce. I also no longer donate to the Salvation Army, as they suddenly have 'wokeness' issues with the color of skin that I was born with.

We should just do bus tickets to San Fransisco. And escort them on the bus. Send all the problems to where they have brilliant solutions and watch utopia continue to form.

Hell we could even give them the $36,000/year that Denver is spending per homeless person for "Homeless Support", e.g. pocket lining programs. Contingent on them staying out of Colorado under contract and paying rent in san fran for 2 months. Wouldn't cost us a dollar extra than what Colorado is currently spending to line pockets, I mean, """help homelessness"""

How can hollohas get some of that $36,000/year per homeless person from the city? Seems like he's being infringed upon and deserves some reparations.
