View Full Version : Covid Nazis?
So, let?s start a list of businesses that are or are not enforcing any of the covid related mandates or rules.
I?ll kick it off by saying that if you want to enjoy food or drinks at the Lodo?s up north off of 104th then be prepared to be harassed and lectured. I hope the guy that greeted and seated us gets hit by a bus.
FYI, if this gets deleted, no hard feelings.

Deleted? Naw (so long as folks keep it civil).
I'm interested in hearing about places folks have either positive or negative experiences, as it applies to C-19/Masks/et al.
I haven't had any issues at any place in Douglas County

Regardless pro or anti mask, the employee is doing their job. Adams county business has mask required signs posted all over.
it is like getting mad at a sheriff deputy that someone cannot carry a firearm to the courtroom.
If you don't like it, you can do what I do. Shop at Broomfield County. They have no mask requirement.
The only place I have worn a mask is the post office and a vet office in Aurora.
One, was because feds
The other was because I was not in the mindset to pick a fight
I've been noticing signs at saying that the employees will not engage or enforce the mandate at more and more businesses-I also don't spend my time in the more restrictive communities if I can help it. Frankly I think that's a wonderful policy, regardless of where one falls on the issue the responsibility should not be on the employees

There's a difference between "just doing their job" and being a jerk about it.
If they're all "I'm sorry, but you have to wear a mask in here" ... fine, I'll smile and wave and go elsewhere.
But when you go into Chipotle and get an expletive laden lecture on epidemiology and the morality of obedience to the collective from a tattoo covered with gauges "female" drop-out from the womxn's studies program at the local JuCo ... yeah, fuck that noise, you're going on a list.
I tend to do most of my stuff in DougCo where there isn't a mask mandate. Haven't run into anyplace here (yet) where the business has decided to enforce their own mask policy.
I did go into the King Soopers at County Line & Holly (just inside Arapahoe County) the other night. Most people were wearing masks. Wife and I weren't and a few other customers weren't. Nobody said anything to us or anyone else that I witnesses. Nobody really seemed to care.

Ditto for the King Soopers by my house. 50/50 masked. No signs. Did have some announcements over the PA system but nobody seemed to care one way or the other.

I honestly thought 104th and Federal was Broomfield. I guess it wasn?t. Or if it was then the snowflakes that own or work at Lodo?s make up their own rules.
Around Lakewood, signs are up but no enforcement that I’ve seen.
The county sheriffs have said they will not engage (even Boulder Co). Falls in the health department’s lap. From what I have heard, if someone complains the business gets a phone call.
We’ll see.

Ace Hardware 38th & Osage(Pecos) has signs everywhere for "State Mandated mask requirement" and an employee setting up outdoor displays let me know cashier could provide a mask if I didn't have one cause mandate and all.
When I questioned their signs it went downhill.
I’ve not had any issues in Thornton or Denver the last couple weeks… I don’t wear a mask at all, and no one seems to care. I’m reassured by that actually.

Usually 120th is a good borderline between Westminster and Broomfield.
I haven't been to any snowflake businesses yet, but I know that 128th and Holly blue bay grill is still little bit on a rona phobe.

Pretty much all of Weld County is good to go. We also went to old town Fort Collins a few weeks back to celebrate a 21st birthday and none of the restaurants or bars were enforcing it.

So far the inky place in Jeffco that has given me grief over not wearing a mask was Five Below in Arvada. Young gal employee freaked out and ran up to me and the family asking if we needed masks as they need to be worn. She had actual panic in her voice. We had masks in our pockets. Put them on.
Signs put up by Communists or Communist sympathizers should NOT be obeyed, or acknowledged in any way. If the fight cannot be won, spend your labor elsewhere. Douglas county thankfully for now is not enforcing anything...yet.
environmental faeries who posted speed limit should not be obeyed or acknowledged in any way , but I have a risk of going to jail for doing 160mph at 25mph zone.

Law vs mandate. The business gets the fine, not the customer.
How would one fight a mandate fine from the HD?
You only go to jail if they catch you. [Tooth]

Not going to speed that much. May be 4.9 mph over the limit.

Crunch Fitness in Boulder is good to go.. no one wears a mask in there and they don?t have a single sign anywhere saying that you need to wear one.
You see about 50/50 compliance around here even in Boulder. I know where the trouble spots would likely be and don’t go there in the first place.

Then you get rear ended by most everyone else.
In Aurora, it is at least 10 over and you are still ruthlessly tailgated until you brake check the ass wipes. And this is on city streets,
Oh, and on topic, everywhere I have been, there has been no hassle over masks. With the exception of employees giving you the stink eye because they are still required to wear masks.

Businesses don't seem to be taking it as seriously this time around.
Safeway by me has all the signs up and the vast majority of customers masked. But I've not worn one there at all and I still get friendly conversation from the staff.
Same is true for every restaurant I've been in.
And also Costco. Which was VERY serious last time so I wasn't sure what to expect. On Wednesday I followed a gal into the Quincy and Wads location who wasn't masked. The card checker lady offered to give her a mask, customer politely declined and everyone went about their business.

Pretty much anywhere here...it's like they've never heard of COVID.
Except the VA clinics. Gotta endure the mask bullshit there.

Soopers at 136th and Zuni has a sign asking for masks if your not vaccinated.
Scheels up north had signs on the door saying masks were required but only half the customers were masked up yesterday.

100% spot on. I went into the gas station on the northeast corner of Colfax & Sable. Accidentally forgot my mask in the truck. Barely got the door all the way open and I hear some lady yelling from across the lobby, "YOU NEED A MASK TO ENTER THIS BUILDING!" I mean, she YELLED that out with the intensity in which a Marine Corps Drill Instructor would've been proud. I turned around, got my mask, walked back in, walked right up to her and said, "Ya know...please & thank you go a long way, might try it sometime." Then left.
I guess there were no secret masktapos on duty that day.

Wal-Mart on 136th and I-25 on Thru night was so American, haft of the employees had mask and about 5% of the customers. Saturday at Walgreens on 136th and Colorado, EVERYONE but me had a mask on.....
Only places I wear a goddamn mask is in medical facilities, they don't really give you a choice.

Exactly. out here they do. I just use that sign to point out how duped some are over what passes for the "mask" they wear.
BTW: how's everyone feeling in the family

I grab a couple every time I walk in to a Kaiser facility, granted it is the cheap blue one, but that is all the staff is wearing so………

But when you go into Chipotle and get an expletive laden lecture on epidemiology and the morality of obedience to the collective ...Wow! I'm realizing how good we have it in El Paso County. In the grocery stores maybe 35% are masked. Nobody is making a fuss either way.
I honestly thought 104th and Federal was Broomfield. I guess it wasn?t. When I lived up there (I mean right there.) 45 years ago it was Federal Heights.

As it turns out SW MO is the only place in the country where drugs are.
Seriously though, it wouldn't hurt the people in this area to properly use tie downs on the back of a truck.
Too hard to have to pull a mask down to take a hit on a meth pipe??
Plus its just inconvenient when you want to kiss a sister or cousin.

Ignorance is bliss. But I bet it wouldn't matter to some having the knowledge.
All the way through DIA today maskless.
PSA, TSA pre is only available at north security. Changed my parking habits.
I expect podunk Redmond will make me mask up to get through security on the return.
Weirdest thing ever deplaning an airbus onto the tarmac.

Anymore, it is all so worrisome, I don't give the employees any grief, I just leave if they say anything about my no mask policy.
Sheriff Justin Smith had a pretty good post on FB about the Larimer County mandate and his observations.
They're not covid notc's They're called Branch Covidians.
^^^^^^^ LOVE IT
Seems like Boulder County is enforcing more than other counties. Maybe because they had the mask requirement even before this.
