Anyone know the quickest or easiest way to get rid of my old washer and dryer? (Besides kicking them into a ditch out in the country somewhere like a lot of people seem to do.)

Thanks.

I get rids of a lots of things on the curb with a free sign, it helps if you are on a well traveled street :)

there are also scrappers that will come by and pick up washers and dryers, since they are mostly metal

Is there a recycling station in/around Thornton? Usually you can dump it there for free.

The Arvada lowes will take recycled appliances for free.
Employees will tell you to just put it near the large 18w trailer. Sometimes there are appliance reseller who will scoop those unprocessed appliance there.

Check again with the appliance store associate to make sure first.

if you want it gone - and the free sign failed - put a 4 sale price on it for 50 dollars and someone will grab it

There is a recycling place on 104th, just east of 85, right before the 76 overpass. They'll take it

Yep. I did it with a truck topper once. Had it listed for free for three weeks with no bites. Posted it for sale for $100 and sold it the next day.

A buddy that deals with Craigslist a lot explained it to me. Something to do with free stuff being junk and nobody wants it but everyone likes to get a good deal.

Thanks. I knew there was a place there that dealt with brass, copper, aluminum, etc. but if it?s the same place they didn?t really do steel or iron. Could be a different place. I?ll research it.

You?re a rockstar. Thanks. Think I?ll toss them in the bed if my truck Wednesday and run them by there.

Beers on me if we ever meet up.
