My son works in restaurant that the guy busted out most of the windows. Thankfully he was not working tonight. I guess the perp died there too. My son sent pictures of the aftermath coworkers sent him.

What new gun controls laws will we get from this?

Maybe they should make murder illegal...

Remember, we all are the reason that this stuff happens, NOT the criminals.

This one is weird- makes me think these were targeted.
"Random" would be driving down Broadway and blasting out the window and then turning on Alameda blasting IMO.
This guy it seems hit specific spots.

Pretty sure I heard the news say they were all connected in some way.

These news reports seem almost DESIGNED to be uninformative. No report of details I would expect.
I guess we just wait for more investigation to be completed....
(In Texas, Christmas afternoon, we know the names, ages and the fact that the murder-suicide couple had children. So two or three days and we should know more about this Denver-Lakewood murder spree.)
Denver is the new Chicago. Politicians have been paving the new path for a while but it's only the start.

Even the front desk clerk at the Belmar Hyatt?

That's just crazy talk!
Starting to sound like tattoo shops had something to do with it.

Interesting. I know there was an owner of a tattoo parlor in Colorado Springs who was killed earlier in the month by LE when he was burglarizing a home armed with a large knife. Strange times.
Sounds like the Denver victims were targeted/known to the shitbag. He had an issue at the hotel, not necessarily with the slain clerk. He was also known to le, subject of two prior investigations though no charges filed in those.
Also the Lakewood officer was able to engage and stop the killer after being wounded.
This info from watching the fox31 stream of the news conference btw.

FOX31 Investigative Reporter Rob Low spoke to Gabriel Thorn, a man who bought his home from McLeod about five years ago.
?There were numerous hidden gun safes in the walls of this house,? Thorn said. ?He just disappeared off the face of the earth when we bought the house. My wife and I joke that he?s changed his name and moved out of the country.?
In fact, McLeod had somewhat changed his name. He wrote and published a series of books called ?Sanction? under the name Roman McClay.
McLeod named the main character in the book after himself, and in a YouTube interview said the premise is that the narrator is artificial intelligence.
Channel 9 was showing surveillance video of shitbag going into a shop. The gun looks like Tec-9 style pistol, maybe?

Based on the identity of the perp, I suspect that list is being updated and refined at this very minute in the appropriate smoke-filled rooms.

I listened to the interview. He was a lonely kid that turned to books for friendship. He had a successful business making $30k a month, cash, until his friends and girl turned on him and took it all away. So he moved to the woods, built a house and hunted for food until God gave him the idea for his book.
Between his description and reviews, it sounds a lot like a manifesto...

Tattoos as a motive?
88941
This one seems to have lost national attention quickly.
The shootings that media can play up are where nut-jobs go in and randomly kill multiple suburbanites.
This shooting spree seems targeted and both the perp and victims being covered in tattoos and in the "tattoo scene" just doesn't make for good 24/7 poster children for more gun control.
Really look at what the MSM goes 24/7 on with shootings. The ones where an individual is stopped by the public (especially armed public) get dropped right away. Not a bunch of random (mostly white) suburbanites that Karen identifies with are killed? Drop it.
Notice how much MSM caters to scaring Karen.
Still a definite need for more mental health treatment .

National implications for gun control = Zero.
Local implications for gun control = Unknown and problematic
Since the DDD state government has green lighted local control, all it takes is for the progressives on your local city council to decide they have the solution- Perhaps a $500 annual firearms permit with review of the applicant's social media history for "extremist" content (subcontracted to the SPLC, of course) being a mandatory requirement.

I have my own "common sense gun control" proposal: Have the US government issue each and every legal citizen 18-and-over their choice of one (1) of the following handguns:
• Glock 19
• Sig P320
• S&W M&P 2.0
• Springfield XDM
• Ruger GP100
• S&W 442
This solution will be a LOT less expensive than new asinine laws and regulations ... which will be no more effective than all the old asinine laws and regulations.
Still a definite need for more mental health treatment. The State Hospital (Pueblo) was closed decades ago. The Lefties thought it was a good idea to "mainstream" the nut cases.
- Homelessness skyrocketed.
- Petty crime increased.
- Then guys like this murderer were declared "normal"....

Did you watch it? Give us your (non-professional) assessment, if you please.
I watched some of it. The guy is overly wordy in his interview and wrote a 1.2 million word book (most books are 75k words ish) and tbh, seemed very full of himself while keen on dampering the public appearance of narcissism it is there. Not a text book nutcase on first impression, but in the direction of someone that would obsess over details or offenses that would be irrelevant or mundane to other people. He explains it as "taking the long road" but no... It isn't someone that doesn't shut up, it is someone that thinks too highly of their own thoughts. That is my first impression, ignoring the later crime, and I did not waste too much time watching it.

Only works if the patient seeks it. We don't have forced mental health treatment.

Just be patient. If medical treatments such as vaccines can practically be forced on people it will only be a matter of time before the powers that be can force other medical treatments on their subjects whether they want it or not.

I suspect anabolic steroids. Post mortem toxicology could provide a clue. This just a guess.
Quote from link below:
" These observations raise the possibility that steroid-induced violence may pose a little-recognized public health problem."

Yeah, I watched it beginning to end. FoxArt is correct in the guy is narcissistic, thinks (thought) very highly of himself and loved to hear himself talk (more so than me). He did come off as probably highly intelligent, yet warped.
In the video he says his girlfriend and friends/business partners all turned on him and pushed him out of his business (which we now know was a tattoo shop in Denver) and caused him to go bankrupt. This explains his targeting of tattoo shops.
After loosing his business (which he said he made $30k/month cash), he moved onto 39 acres he had in the San Isabel Nat. Forest and set up storage containers to live in since the property didn't have and dwelling on it. He said during this process he had a very vivid dream where he felt God revealed himself to him - which was a complete turn around for a multi-decade atheist. The dream also gave him the idea for his 2400 page book "Sanction". The publisher told him they had an 800 page limit/book so he broke the (apparently long-winded and highly detailed) book into 3 separate books. He indicates that although his book is officially fiction it contains lots of actual facts/data (the description kind of reminded me of Unintended Consequences by John Ross). He wrote the book using a pen name but used his own name for the main character. In my opinion, given recent events, this has heavy foreshadowing of what was to come. My research into the book indicated that (among other things) the book lamented todays turn against what's being called "toxic masculinity" and indicated that the strong have a responsibility to eliminate the weak.
So you've got this guy who's quite buff and possibly using steroids to get that way, angry at those he feels cost him just about everything, who writes a book where the main character has his actual name who takes out the weak as his obligation to society. Yeah, had I known all of this a week or more ago I could have called this end result ahead of time.

(which he said he made $30k/month cash)
I've been out of the business for some years. However this guy never made $30k, Cash, a month, in the denver area tattoo business. Unless he was charging $200 per hr, working 45+ hrs a week. Income from other sources, sure. tattooing, by himself, eh Most clients even 15 yrs ago were using credit, or debit cards.

When I listened to the video which is now private, the interviewee reminds me of the "The Highlander" series that was on TV. He even had the same last name as the star of the show, "McCleod". He talked about his heritage and his Scottish ancestors.
