I stumbled across this place while doing some google searching today. Looks very interesting, but would like any first hand current info. Their website is a bit bland with pictures. Went today to see if I could get a look around, but could get in due to needing a key card to open the door. Nobody was there, so ?tour? available. Called the number and left a message that I?d like to see the facility before joining. No call back so far. Hat makes it interesting to me are the air rifle range (I?m a nerd for precision high powered air rifles) and the times you can use the facilities.
thanks for any current info. All the info available I could find in a search here was years old.

I have a couple buddies who are. I can get some information from them and let you know what they say.
I do know they have been shooting an air pistol match there.
I toured the place a couple years ago. Kind of a funky set-up since they converted an office building into shooting ranges. Limited to 44 magnum for handguns and .22 caliber rifles. Longest range is 27 yards.
I can't offer anything current but hope it's a strong marksmanship club and would like to know more about what they do now.
In 1965 I started my shooting 'career' there beginning with a scout group hunter safety course. I moved on in the NRA junior smallbore rifle course through expert and onto distinguished. The club indoor range was in an old military Quonset hut off Wadsworth just south of old town Arvada. I was fortunate to have the very best instructors, Dick Hardy and Bob Tullis. We shot in matches all over the Front Range and into Wyoming and Nebraska. I placed high in the state championships for several years. Later, I shot high power rifle in Boulder and Grand Junction. Great experiences all but I'll always be grateful for the good people at the old Arvada Rifle and Pistol Club.

Outstanding! My son just got his Expert at BRC. These small indoor ranges can be very useful when your world is not tied to tactical regimes. I visited the Arvada range when the old location was winding down. We moved just when the new spot was opening.
Im a member. Its a member owned nonprofit range. We converted the current building into a shooting range after being eminent domained out of the original site in old town Arvada. Its a range that has been built by members. It has good ventalation and is open 24/7 for members. They have a calendar with leagues. You cannot shoot rifles caliber on either range due to backstop limitations but PCC are fine. You can earn free passes for friends if you work on the monthly work party.
25 meter range
any straight walled pistol caliber between .22 and .44 magnum (including .45, jacketed, hollow points) for pistol
.22 long, .22 LR and .22 short or straight walled pistol cartridges with a single projectile for rifle
no airguns, shotguns, incendiary devices, tracers or .17 caliber
10 positions
target can be placed at any distance up to 25m

Thanks a bunch Bowtie. I’d love to see the ranges. I left a message with the lady who’s number is posted on the website. I didn’t hear back from her today. I also saw in the rules that there is no drawing from holsters or concealment. Is that a rule for all? Is there a “certification” to be able to draw from a holster there?

I know there are some leagues where they draw, but I think its a general rule not to due to safety. They have a check us out night on 1/24/2022 from 7-9 where they give a full tour and let you shoot for free. I could take you if you want to go sooner. Let me know.

Congratulations to you and your son! The stickstuitiveness will pay off for him in the future.
When the BRC began expanding beyond the rudimentary outdoor ranges at an old construction dump (previously used by Boulder Excavating where I worked), I was asked to provide concrete for a new indoor rifle range. As the plant operator for Flatiron Premix in Boulder we worked a deal for the company to donate concrete and the concrete truck drivers to donate a Saturday of work to deliver concrete for the pour in exchange for honorary membership in the BRC. It was a great success and the BRC got a 6000 psi concrete mix for the range floor. I shot on that floor many times since, and at the outdoor ranges in highpower competition. I also worked in martial arts/tactical defense training there with Art Gitlin for Boulder Police and Sheriff officers.
I believe that I was the only person/employee to continue annual membership in the BRC. I wish I could have continued my membership in BRC but when I moved to grow fruit on our Palisade farm it just wasn't practical. Soon after I did shoot highpower with the Orchard Mesa Gun Club and pistol with the Grand Valley Training Club. Now living in our Boulder County home, I'd like to visit the BRC range occasionally but could never again get into the club given the waiting list. Instead I shoot in the desert near our Palisade farm and at the CPW Cameo range which is truly excellent.
Sorry for the long story but may be of interest to younger members.

I have a lot of fond memories of the old club. Served as a Range Officer on Friday nights for the Scout groups.
