Anyone with this DD upper and if so tell us how it functions and groupings with some pictures. I am waiting for mine to come in but would like some input on this upper and the overall quality.

I've got a whole DDM4 and love it. Accurate as anything, and a very tight fit. Just remember like any AR, it wants to be wet, especially when breaking it in.
I'm not sure if I have any group pictures, but if I do I'll post 'em in a bit. I just know I have gotten comments from folks at the range saying how accurate it is.

My DDXV complete upper had arrived from AIM for the great price of 499.96 including shipping. I looked over the upper and was impressed with the finish and the heavy packaging oil.

I removed the handguards and the barrel was marked DD 1-7 5.56 with barrel date of late 2009. I was wondering if the barrel would be marked CHF but it was not. The carrier is a Full Auto and staked very nice and of course chrome lined. The bolt was not marked as I thought it would be with MP or MPI. The extractor spring was a heavy duty with a black insert.

I did notice when I removed the charging handle from the upper that it was tight in the area where you match the CH to the upper receiver to remove for install. The inner of the upper was very clean and a very nice finish as the outside.

I used my Brand new LMT LEO marked lower that I had purchased over two years ago. The DD and LMT matched up nicely and was not loose or tight. I was running a "H" buffer and after 400 rounds I did not have one malfunction and the groupings from 50 yards were very tight using iron sights and the DD A.1 rear sight.

I did notice when I did a chamber check as I pulled back on the charging handle it was more difficult then normal. I usally pull back on the left side of the CH but had to adjust and pull using the entire handle. It seems that it was getting easier from the first 100 rounds to the last.

I did call DD to verify that the carrier and bolt were MPI, shot peened tested as they advertise and was told yes. I was informed they were waiting for the machine to stamp MPI on the bolts. Time will tell and I only have a low round count for now.

Today I went out to confirm my 50 yard zero. I was using Federal 55 gr ammo from Walmart and shooting prone using iron sights and my magazine as a monopod.
