It would be laughable if the situation wasn't so ridiculous

Well, as long as the shoplifters are also paying a 1% surcharge then I guess it?s fair.
Does sound like a guy could avoid that fee by just bringing a machete and walking out with whatever you want. Obviously the proprietor isn?t armed or willing to defend his property or livelihood.
It's about as ridiculous as punishing law abiding gun owners for the actions of criminals.
...or taxpayers footing the bill for freeloading ne'er-do-wells in the name of compassion.

Good on him. Make the shit roll uphill. Both Ray and Gman make good points regarding the cost of crime on the law abiding and lack of consequences for the criminals. Perhaps if enough people see what the BS policies cost them they will be a little more cognizant of the consequences of their votes.
I might be overly optimistic here.

I posted this same story on another forum.
My take-
One helluva good way to push business away.
It does bring some light to the issue.
Now the reality-
The asshole probably voted for those officials whose policies have been instrumental in the causes of the issues to escalate. He probably votes Democrat down the ballot. He probably voted for Amendment 64 and mushrooms. He probably is a BLM supporter. As long as his business wasn't affected by the "protests" last summer he probably took no issue with it.
If so, suck on it- you helped create it.
If not, quit your grandstanding and move your fucking businesses, hire security or factor in the shrink.

I always look forward to reading Bert's posts. He most always has the same position on things that I have but he has a much more eloquent way of stating it.
You go Bert!

I can?t see all of the fancy monikers from my phone but if his doesn?t say ?brutally honest? then there is no justice in this world.

Well that’s one way to put yourself out of business.
No reason to feel guilty about 'lifting at his stores, cause the gubbament is paying him a 'liftin fee!
