View Full Version : PSA stripped lowers?
My son's Army unit did a group buy on stripped lowers from PSA with special engraving to commemorate this most recent deployment. He surprised me today with a belated birthday present of an Aero upper with free float barrel, Midwest mlok rail (minus the bcg/charging handle), an Aero lower parts kit and he's getting me one of the lowers when they get delivered to the receiving ffl.
I was truly speechless (quite a feat for those of you that know me lol), I have two wonderful sons thankfully. How is the quality of these lowers. I definitely will complete the build, just wondering as I don't really know anything about the PSA parts. I will shoot it and keep it handy as a defensive firearm. Thanks.
Here's a quickie pic of the upper:

I have probably over a dozen PSA lowers. All of them have worked just fine with mil-spec parts kits. Haven't had a single issue. And their shipping times have improved dramatically. My last several orders over the past year have all shipped within a day or so.
Thank you! These were special orders due to the unique unit engraving, they just got to the ffl this past week. Very much looking forward to putting the complete carbine together

Some parts kits I've really liked... White Label Armory. I've had several that I've bought from Aim Surplus. I gotta say for standard triggers these have all been some of the best I've ever used. The other parts have all worked flawlessly, too, and the entire lower parts kits go on sale for $34.95 at Aim pretty frequently.

Anecdotal, but I’ve got half a dozen of their lowers, sold another half a dozen in builds. I’ve got complete lowers and parts kits floating around. AR-10 and AR-15. I’ve never had any issues. PSA doesn’t scare are me.

PSA makes good stuff. Why not buy an Aero lower to have a ?matching? set? Their lowers can be had pretty cheap if you wait for sales or get the blems.

Enjoy the rifle. Looks like you've got some good parts.
I haven't been in the market for parts but every time I check them out in the gun counter I'm surprised what they go for these days.

As mentioned these parts are a belated birthday gift from my son as he was deployed when my birthday rolled around. He picked up the lowers yesterday from the ffl-they're actually from Anderson, not PSA, I'll get mine later this week. I'm using Aero's nitride bcg, Magpul SL stocl, K2+ grip and MOE vertical grip. I have a new in the box Aimpoint Pro I'm going to use too.
It has his unit's "Dustoff" patch on the right side of the receiver. Pics will be up when I get the lower and everything put together.
