"House Bill 22-1086 ?The Vote Without Fear Act? (https://leg.colorado.gov/bills/hb22-1086) - The title itself is enough to let you know that sponsors and supporters of this measure hate your Second Amendment rights. HB 1086 will ban the open carry of a firearm at voting locations in the Centennial state. It is the intention of this measure to prohibit you from exercising one of your constitutional rights while engaging in another. The irony would be funny if it wasn?t a serious and deeply-held belief by anti-gun legislators that the Second Amendment is a lesser right."

Colorado went to all mail-in ballots, didn't it? Can one still vote in person?

IDK. As long as there is not a prohibition on concealed I am somewhat inclined agree with the bill. I'd be much more inclined if it simply coupled it with assembly (groups of people).

Keep in mind there are groups of progressives now that also like open carry. Either ends of the spectrum, polls are most definitely not a place for armed political assembly...

But an individual, old cowboy rolling into vote with a 1911 on their hip, in and out, a ban shouldn't really apply to them.

I *think* you can still vote in person but not 100% sure on that? In any event there are still polling locations / mail dropoff etc.

Even though every registered voter will receive a mail-in ballot, the in-person polls are still open, manned and ready.

So no more open carry around your own mailbox during an open election.

If CO diden't check ID. What's to stop any and everyone, from voting twice?

It's a slippery slope. Dems will grease it.

Once you go to mail-in ballots, you can give up on having fair elections. Once a ballot is separated from its envelope, there's no way to prove its legitimacy. Then mystery ballots seem to show up from odd places that are 9:1 for a single candidate. Guess which side the '9' is on?
