I rather see them sell primers to Americans...
Looking at their website, most calibers seem to be sold out so I guess promising a million more rounds won't hurt.

Looking for publicity. It worked for Elon Musk, why not them?
Difference is Elon could deliver, not sure these ammo folks can.

Kind of like Dick's announcing that they wouldn't sell evil black rifles that they were already not selling?

I donated cash to UNICEF.
I really doubt they produce comblock ammo in significant numbers. Much less anything the Ukrainians actually want. But hey, 22LR could be thrown at the russians or something.

#$%^& UNicef.
Saw this post this morning and didn't realize it was related to this until later today;
NASCAR legend Richard Childress offers to donate 1 million rounds of ammo to Ukraine (https://www.foxnews.com/auto/nascar-richard-childress-donate-1-million-rounds-ammo-ukraine)
"We're working with some government agencies, but to get it there quickly, we're going to work through a private company that will be working to get it in there," Childress said. "The number one ammo they're needing right now over there is the 7.62s, and that's what we're going to be producing."
That is cool on his part. I just hope they didnt sell him a false promise. They need that yesterday, and I cant imagine retooling with supply chain issues happens overnight.50,000 boxes could take ages if they are only running a tooled plant or two. But, I hope they pull it off.

Which 7.62 do they need? They are not a NATO country but the US has been sending weapons for years so maybe 51's. It was a soviet republic so I'm sure there are a lot of AK's laying around so maybe 39's.
AMMO, Inc. is building a new plant in Manitowoc, Wisconsin so the capacity may be there in Summer of 2022.
Someone more cynical than I may point out the POWW stock is near a 52 week low and this is good, free publicity. It opened higher this morning, although it seem to be dropping.
I think you have the cynical angle covered. [Coffee]
Small arms ammo won't do much against tanks and armored personnel carriers. I hope some agency (CIA?) has or will provide the Ukranians with a couple thousand RPGs, some mortars, Claymore mines, and explosives and technologies needed to build large numbers of IEDs. That should keep the Russkis uncomfortable during their occupation.
Fox News had a piece on this today. The ammo is already in Europe.

“We’ve already got the million rounds of ammo sitting on the ground in Europe. The next step is the proper paperwork to get it to the right people and the people in the Ukraine government that will put it out in the proper hands.” He added, “…right now the paperwork is being put together to do that.”
