Headline says man saved by wiener dog. Watching the video, I don't think the moose even saw the diminutive hound. But good for the pooch. I'm sure my beagle would drop to the ground whimpering. Right next to me doing the same.

The little dog made a valiant effort but came up a little short!

I got chased up a tree by a moose outside Casper, WY way back in the late 70s when I was a teenager. I waited till she left and started down. She was just waiting for me and charged again. I stayed up the second time until after dark and came down when it finally got too cold to stay. Hauled ass back to my car and fortunately didn't see her again.

Probably the crankiest animals in the northern forests.
