We really need to be careful of taking anything at face value OR reflexively dismissing stories just because they come from the usual lying suspects.

I don't know what kind of bio labs these are in Ukraine. There's been a LOT of bio research in recent years but bio research isn't necessarily the same as biowarfare. Equating the two is like the Democrats equating the Russian influence operations in 2016 to trying to crack into the election machine system -- they just aren't the same thing. I don't trust anything coming from the Democrats or CNN but I also don't trust anything from Putin, Kim, or Xi. History tells us that when greedy autocrats like Putin are allowed to just get away with murder, they keep upping the ante so as much as people don't want to get involved, it's less costly in the long run for us to let Putin know he can't get away with this anymore than to let him keep going. We should have done it the first time he pulled this garbage or even the second time.

Lindbergh got involved with America First because of the pain the country suffered during World War I and what he viewed as a European problem. He changed his mind after the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor and he realized isolating from European or Asian problems ended up costing America even more pain and lives lost.

I agree with Aloha here. There damn well may be US bio labs in Ukraine. Wouldn't surprise me one bit. The US pays for all the more questionable research to be done in other countries (we did help fund the Wuhan research after all). But we'll never know what kind of labs they are. Medical or military? Who knows.

And China isn't going to miss the chance to accuse the US of making bio weapons. Gives them a chance to redirect. True or not.

Regardless if there is or not, doesn't give Russia an excuse to murder Ukrainians. Ukraine simply having weapons is very different than Ukraine threatening to use them on Russians. Which no one has accused them of doing. Russia doesn't have a leg to stand on.
