View Full Version : Morrison Does It Again
Morrison has added pay parking to all streets in town.
Probably the last straw for ever going back. Tried going to breakfast this morning. Yep, pay on Sunday too. Most street parking was empty, so I wonder how many people just went somewhere else. [Shake]

Making up for traffic citation lost revenue.

Politicians attack after we are weakened by the virus. It is in the play book.
Denver doubled the price of their on street meters on Jan 1… $2 and hour now. $4 in change to park for 2 hours is a shit load of coins… even if you have all quarters, which is never the case, it’s annoying
Sounds like the city of Morrison doesn't like the tax revenue from the businesses there. Create a disincentive for customers which results in reduced business, and maybe they go out of business?
I typically only drive THROUGH Morrisson . . . and as little as possible. This will keep that model in place.

This is EXACTLY what they're doing. SO much of that little empire's budget relied on traffic enforcement, it's gross.
All fines, including traffic tickets, should go straight into the state lottery jackpot.
All courts should be funded by the general fund.
There should be zero incentive for government to target high revenue activity
How long before the little shops get taxed out of there and Morrison becomes a ghost town or hostile annexed by Denver?

It will be a while. Those pot shops make big bank. They can afford to pay the taxes.

Wow, I saw the title to this thread and thought we were headed back into a war in Viet Nam - Oh No!
George Stephen Morrison (January 7, 1919 ? November 17, 2008) was a United States Navy rear admiral (upper half) and naval aviator.
Morrison was commander of United States naval forces during the Gulf of Tonkin Incident of August 1964, which sparked an escalation of American involvement in the Vietnam War.
He was the father of Jim Morrison, the lead singer of the rock band The Doors, who died on July 3, 1971
