There's a new owner of The Gun Room in Lakewood. I heard stories about what happened but can't confirm so I won't repeat them. I will say I was definitely not a fan of the prior owner, had a few issues with him. I was tight with the original owners, they treated me like family when I first moved here in 1984. When they retired and sold the store after the move to Lakewood things went seriously down hill in my opinion (and you know what those are like LOL).

I'll be stopping by later this week to check it out.

Very interesting!

I had not been in there recently.

Stopped going in there about 20 years ago after being told that 45/70 was a "pointless caliber"...after buying a box of overpriced 45/70...

Think I went in there once. I vaguely recall everything was way overpriced and the guys behind the counter were full of bad misinformation about their products and probably just about life in general. Needless to say I never felt the urge to go there a second time.

Those sound like “George experiences”. Yes lots of overpriced items with less than brilliant guys behind the counter. Bill and Lola were great folks.

Bill and Lola were A+. The next owners not so much. I tried to buy something there, was given a price and said I'd take it. A few minutes later I was told the price was wrong and they increased it significantly. Never went back.

Nice pics on google, though someone needs to pay attention to the decocker on a bunch of Sigs.

Saw a lot of cocked Sigs in the cases. Just a peeve of mine.
