What are the odds this is a Trump voter?

WASHINGTON ? A Colorado man has died after lighting himself on fire in front of the U.S. Supreme Court Friday evening, police said.

The man ? who was 50 and from Boulder, Colorado ? went to the plaza in front of the court building at about 6:30 p.m. and set himself on fire, D.C. Metropolitan Police said. He was air lifted to a hospital before he died from his injuries.

The U.S. Capitol Police said in a statement that a medical helicopter landed near the Capitol for a medical emergency.

In a video tweeted by a Fox reporter, the helicopter was shown landing on the steps of the nation's highest court. Another video from Fox showed a U.S. Park Police helicopter flying near the Capitol.

Two streets near the Supreme Court were momentarily closed as a result of the emergency.

D.C. police did not offer additional details about the incident, including on what the man's motivation may have been.

If it was me, it would have been in protest all of Sotomayor's opinions. [emoji91][emoji91][emoji91]

I've always thought that those drawn to self immolation had to be mentally ill but that most are not so removed from humanity that they didn't regret their decision before the end came.

Still, death was probably the easiest way out for them.

If he didn't want the earth to warm up, maybe he shouldn't have set himself on FIRE.

No matter who they voted for before, they'll be voting Democrat in every election from now on.

And they burned shit.
The shit probably smelled better (it doesn’t, I know) than the protestor.

Well, good for him. He ended his life for what he believes in and it will change absolutely nothing. He's had his moment and tomorrow no one will remember.

Being that he posted on facebook two years ago, the date with a flame emoji, I have my doubts it was about climate change or any case the court was hearing unless he's got a crystal ball.

I think he was just a very long planned suicide. Why by fire, who knows...

The true mark of protesting failure? You manage to kill yourself and no one really knows why you did it. Took awhile to connect it to earth day. Talk about a wasted life.

Given the fire building and maintenance skills I've seen from Boy Scouts and the general public, I expect said person ("man" is sexist after all) will be warm for about 20-30 minutes -- maybe as long as an hour depending on just how big and well you built it in the first place. Either that or said person will keep him/her/them/itself AND the rest of the county warm for 3 or 4 days as the conflagration spreads.

So this guy chose a way to off himself that contributed to global warming. Or do you think he was going for a net reduction as his future use of energy was reduced?
