The .gov weather forecast says dust. The wind is hardly blowing. It is smoke and visibility is 2 miles in Pueblo County. I presume it is from the New Mexico fires. Watch out for the homeless on I-25, they are the ones pushing shopping carts. Be careful driving south, it is only going to get worse.....cough, cough....

It’s been windy off and on up here today. Definitely actual dust too…

Steady 37mph winds today at BLGC, gusts up to 41mph. Good times. Monday should be even better.
I thought it was smoke in the air, but my eye were gritty after walking to the mailbox…
I use this site regularly during the season

We've been in smoky skies for 2 weeks
Coming home Monday evening from BLGC, driving into the sun, the dust in the air looked just like smoke. The wind was brutal out there.
Smoke is fairly thick in Durango. From Alamosa driving west it got thicker towards wolf creek then dissipated around Pagosa springs then heavy around chimney rock?

There has been a lot of smoke down here. KRDO stopped by and interviewed one of our captains about it.

Three fires in the city of Colorado Springs today. One was near my buddy's house at Stetson and Peterson. He was in the neighbor's backyard with a hose.
I was in Breckenridge yesterday. Dillon has no water in it and the surrounding mountains are already free from snow. It's gonna be a nasty summer.

My son lives a block and a half from the Stetson Hills fire, just West of it. I left work and got to his place and as I was approaching I saw the flames above trees/structures. We evacuated his valuables to vehicles and waited. The wind was blowing strongly to the east, but after the big fire up near Boulder a couple of months ago we didn't take any chances. An hour later scanner traffic indicated the fire was "under control" and "surrounded" so we moved everything back into his place then went back to my place to get his dog. Was kind of spooky for a while.

Unusual sunset today with smoke over Pikes Peak. There is almost a 1000 acres burning west of Cripple Creek and Teller 1 is closed according to the news.
