"America would not exist without the heroism of the young adults who fought and died in our revolutionary army," Judge Ryan Nelson wrote. "Today we reaffirm that our Constitution still protects the right that enabled their sacrifice: the right of young adults to keep and bear arms."

And NPR blames Trump.

The two judges who ruled in the majority were part of President Donald Trump's wave of conservative-approved nominees to the famously liberal court.

TBH I would love to see the courts strike down all "Conditional adulthood" laws regarding those aged 18-20, particularly drinking age laws.

To me they simply make no sense.

You are either an adult or you're not, period. If you are an adult, are required to bear the burdens of being an adult (such as being charged as an adult in criminal court; obligation to pay taxes, serve on a jury, register for the draft) then you should have all the rights of being an adult too.

How ridiculous is it to charge a 20 year old with "underage possession" of alcohol? A 20 year old is a legal adult in every respect.

And worst of all, they now do this in the military (they didn't when I was in.) 20 year old Specialist or Corporal with two combat tours under his belt, qualified to lead a fire team and carries a a machine gun or grenade launcher, or drives a tank, is somehow not "mature" enough to buy a 6 pack of Corona. Redonkulus. [Rant1]

Well Colorado does send ballots to minors to vote in elections.
