I saw an article this morning (just saw the headline) about someone who endorses "minor-attracted" people getting a position dealing with kids.

"Minor-attracted"? They are trying to get pedophilia more socially acceptable. I've seen this coming for over a decade.

We are truly trying to become the next "Sodom & Gomorrah".

I grew up in the Boy Scout program. Came across some patches, mugs and memorabilia this month. Damn! I was a hoarder.

My second Scoutmaster was a college professor pedo. He would invite the new "recruits" over for dinner and have them make his bed, clean, whatever. There was talk of a photo album. This was the days of Polaroids. I didn't make the album and there was no impropriety. My Stepfather was also on the executive council. The SM was asked to leave soon after.

All that said, there were good gay leaders and good strait leaders. My mentor was a farm boy from west Texas that survived D Day.

The "gays"could be picked out, even at an early age. They weren't the problem The pedos were avoided.

All that said...my parents said to be on the look out.

The Scouting program has been driven to bankruptcy -- to the point that many councils are having to sell campgrounds that were donated and improved over decades by tens of thousands (if not hundreds of thousands) of volunteers. Ironically, the very same evidence being used to accuse Scouting of homophobia -- the existence of secret files on suspect volunteers who were NOT to be placed in positions of direct contact -- was being used in court to press a class action lawsuit that is making the litigation lawyers rich, will probably return a pittance to victims (and the lawyers of course expanded the definition of "victim" to build a number that can't possibly be checked or audited), and essentially destroys Scouting at not only the national but the local levels.
